2 has restrictions.
All tuning(!) restrictions were removed from the season 2 events. You are still restricted to certain cars, though.
Same as with #3 - player's choice. You do still have to stick to the required car as Sparrow-Ger says. This must have happened when the new races came out as I saw posts hinting at this over eighteen hours ago.
You can still take it on with a mimimal improvement, keeping it challenging. So they've now been made easier.
So there was no point in all that fine tuning...
Still doesnt help on the nascar event, i have no idea how to come in top 3 really when cars are as fast as yours![]()

Practice, practice and practice! That's the only advice I can offer. Go to free run and just drive around Nurburgring with your NASCAR until you are comfortable with it. Use ABS at 1 and SRF if it is really a struggle, but all other aids will actually inhibit the cars performance and thus slow you down.
I used Racing Softs for NASCAR and won, I even span twice, once at Flugplatz and once at the last chicane.
Yup. Racing softs, oil change, full downforce, and I set the transmission to top speed of 242 - quick enough acceleration, but enough top end to pass one car per lap on the long back straight. I did a 6:46 and a 6:45 and won by about 5 seconds. I hadn't done better than 7th before the restrictions were lifted.
And speaking of the restrictions being lifted, I really wish they hadn't done that. I know it was hard - it took me days to gold all the Round One races, and I'd only managed to gold three of the Round Two races before they lifted the restrictions (had another silver and that 7th place at the 'Ring). Thing is, it made you really WORK at it - and I mean that in a good way. Find the right tune, concentrate on the drive, pay attention, etc.
