Damn, I like using less used cars for the TTs and I thought the Evora was one of them.

Anyone wanna throw out some cars that they have used for the Madrid current seasonal?

I tried the Ford RS200 road car. I thought the AWD would help make up for the lack of grip in the tires, but I could only get a silver. I had my left middle finger stitched back together after an accident with a table saw so I had to use the automatic and only use my right hand to steer, but I don't want to use that as an excuse. I eventually got the gold, very easily, with the Lotus 111R.

I get what that "The best are the best no matter what car" argument is all about, but I still don't see what wrong with wanting each new time trial to be more than a case of "time to break out the R390 road car again" beacuse, for me at least, that takes away some of the interest in these events. Recently I tried this:1) get the gold with a different car. 2) get the 390 out for speed. From this I have discovered: 1) using different cars, especially stock ones you have to tune and tweak just for the event, is fun. 2) the drivers at the top of the leaderboard are ****ing fast.

To take the current GTR event, I've driven my backside off, just to get within 3 sec of the leaders and while there may be a lucky 1:33 in there somewhere for me, I think I'm about done. I'm about 860th in my region, which feels pretty good, except for the fact that I know there are better drivers than me on my friends list who have appeared to grab the gold and the car, and buggered off. Shame.
