Absolutely cracking. Having never played prologue I'm slightly baffled by this PP business, but delighted with the update. 👍

I only glanced at a couple of the bonus race requirements and they had multiple models, but that does not mean all.

Ok, thanks. I'll just have to see when I fire it up tonight....

You can use any model of the car they ask for.

Refer to above, does that mean all RX-7's, all Impreza's, etc. That is what I was wondering.... Or is it just certain ones?

Any chance that you could post a list so I don't have to wait until tonight and which cars I have are eligible?

Thanks

Ok, for anyone who wants the bonus races to be a challenge, try beating them with these cars & settings:

1. Nissan March 12SR '07 - Premium - stock, oil change, 111 bhp, comfort soft.

2. Honda Civic SiR II EG '92 - Standard - stock, no oil change, 153 bhp, comfort soft

3. Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '07 - Premium - stock, no oil change, 302 bhp, sports hard

4. Subaru Impreza WRX STI '10 - Premium - This one needs tuning, restrictions: sports medium tires, max. 365 bhp, stock weight (1490kg)

5. Mazda RX-7 Type RZ FD '00 - Standard - stock, oil change, 287 bhp, sports hard.

It's probably not 100% optimized, but should be challenging enough.

For the March one I also used the 12SR '07, no oil change, stock and Sports Hard tyres,... so maybe similar. It was a close race though, I was always looking to draft and times the field is quite spread out.

Thanks for the suggestions. 👍

My Suzuka race with the civic has frozen, it won't finish the race, just keeps driving around...and the exhaust sound keep cutting out. That's just f'ing awesome...another 15 minutes out of my life thanks to PD

The whole system froze, had to call Sony for tech support. Turns out that the update corrupted my file structure on the hard drive, had to rebuild it, so keep an eye out for this.

For this week, we now have two more races in all of last week's categories - including one GT5 track and a course maker track.

We also have 5 new races, in the old Seasonal event format (i.e. high prize money)

It seems like everybody wins with this update!

Good update in my book though a little disappointed about no save feature between championship races,if they keep updating like this we`ll end up with a cracking game.👍

Cheers! I guess everyone will be happy now; if not, I give up!

I am at work, but can't wait to check those out.

Ok, for anyone who wants the bonus races to be a challenge, try beating them with these cars & settings:

3. Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '07 - Premium - stock, no oil change, 302 bhp, sports hard

5. Mazda RX-7 Type RZ FD '00 - Standard - stock, oil change, 287 bhp, sports hard.

Good challenges, especially as I had the cars and tyres already. Comfort Softs definitely worth a go, though how they will handle around the undulating Eifel course for (5) is anyone's guess. That race starts with a fun 'miss the AI cars' section after T1.

Regarding the STI race, you can use any year or model STI but not the racing versions like the cusco, PD LM impreza, rally ect. The only "race prep" impreza you can use is the 05 type RA RM. You will need to run the ring in 7:33 to win so you dont need a heavily modified or race version of the car to win. I did it with a 440 HP 22B on racing tires.

I am very happy with this update! We are moving in the right direction here!

If what I read is true, you can use the Nissan March as well. I haven't tried it though.

You can also use the "mm-R Cup Car" for the FF races.

Could somebody help me with this challenge! I can't get closer than 18 seconds away from 1st & I'm racing an almost perfect race. Does anybody have tips? My HP is around 100 higher than the next closest person too.

I used a standard dealer Impreza with 296bhp, not sure of weight. Just fitted racing soft tyres, first go 18 seconds off, 2nd go 2 seconds off, 3rd go 2 seconds ahead. Result a brilliant challenge, fighting all the way to get to the lead car just before the mega long straight.

I'm away from my PS3 today.:grumpy:

Looks like most of the people that are posting are away from their PS3 as well. All the others are busy having fun with the new updates. I'm very jealous! The sad thing is I have to work tomorrow!:ouch: But my Sunday will be free!:)

Wow! Thanks so much man. I got it on my 1st try after buying those Racing tires. I had no idea they would make it so
Much easier. I went from losing by 18 sec to winning by 10. I guess I just wasted a ton of money buying HP for this Impreza. Lol

Thanks for the info. How about listing the PP as well, this will help us gauge each other and any additional mods required for various skill levels.

Where can I buy the Nissan Micra? I only found the Nissan March.

My girlfriend has a Micra and the March I assume is the same car by a different name because they look identical from the outside. May be different performance wise but by the sounds of it you can still use it...

I'm away from my PS3 at the moment, so can anyone tell me if the new bonus races allow any car or a specific model? Such as, I see a race with a RX-7, can I use any RX-7 or is it tied to a specific one?

If they are specific, can someone list the models for these races?

Thanks

The Suburu STI challenge is one of the few difficult ones I've had in the seasonal events in a long time. I still haven't gotten first, because I keep getting stuck behind slower cars, but I'm having a blast. I tried it on sports hard with 345 hp and got close, but it was clear I wasn't going to catch up to the lead car. So then I upped it to 357 with racing hard, and I've trimmed it down to 1.5 seconds. Too bad you can't drive it without SRF.
