I just want to say to I am really happy that a lot of people are willing to post their tunes to try to help people like me, who have zero knowledge about tuning. I agree with Cargorat that it could be useful for people who want to copy an exact tune that somebody describes step for step the actions taken to get there to avoid any confusion. Personally I don't worry too much when I can't figure out how to reach the exact numbers in gearing. For all I know painting your car red instead of the basic color could affect it. ;) I am just happy people take the the time and effort to share their knowledge and everybody should decide for themselves whether or not to use a certain setup or not; instead of settling childish disputes which most of us don't care about anyway, except that it makes a thread hard to follow.

What is this place coming to? Sounds like some of you need to get out in the fresh air.

@Cargorat...if I had posted that photo sequence instead of some guy you've had a tiff with, would (could) you answer the disparity between his evidence and your conjecture? This is after all one of the most interesting things we can discuss. We need this thread, but as with all these things we need the correct, scientific/mathematical algorithm. Not conjecture. Show us your proof. Use your phone. We respect you mate (aren't you older than me (52)? I think the speed with which you reacted negatively was a bit petulant ;-)

Hey I don't want to burst your bubble, but if you're interested in setting up a 6 geared transmission you should try with 1 3 5 7 9, then adjust gears to the track.

When you click on a certain gear, for an example gear 1, it comes up with a blue bar which you can adjust.
When you move it to the right the gear will get shorter (the higher number the gear has, the shorter it will be) and reverse when you move it to the left.
Below the blue bar there is vertical lines.
If we only think about the most visible vertical lines and put the blue bar in 1st gear to vertical line 1, and 2nd gear to vertical line 3, 3rd gear to vertical line 5, 4th gear to vertical line 7, 5th gear to vertical line 9, and 6th gear all the way to the right, you will end up with a closer gearbox than standard very often.
when you have done that you can adjust 2nd and 3rd gear for the corners, which will damage the close gearbox just a little, to overcome the damage you will have to play around with gear 4,5,6 to make the blue lines close to each other.
And dont forget to place the final gear all the way to the right and max speed all the way to the left before you're making the 1,3,5,7,9 combination.
Then adjust final gear to the max speed of the track.

speak for yourself............

Sorry, edited the message. Indeed I should not speak in terms of "everybody" 👍
