Yeah I'm sure it is, had a look earlier on so should mean it's A Modern Super Saloons.

The track though pfft....I'm sure I could find it eventually if I could be bothered but there is pretty much nothing to go off here so I'd have to run through all but 1 course trying to find the spot, Daikoku Chase was the only one I could rule out straight away from the place they've chosen for the thumbnail, if there's nothing distinctive on the road itself then usually what's in the background helps me get a rough idea of the area the course is in to find the exact one but 'slight left, barrier and bushes'? Every Street course apart from Daikoku is a possibility for having that somewhere along their route.

The '17 Giulia with SasaranaMi's tune should be a good option though whatever the track is, in that Alfa Trial not long ago there ended up being I think only about 0.4/0.5 between my 8C, Peter LYJ's 155 and Sasarana's Giulia on Ito Sprint's board.

Their fronts are about as distinctive as it gets but the backsides are fairly generic. My first thoughts were the q60 concept that wasn't brought forward and Hyundais that aren't in the game.

Looking forward to the Celica that was an autoshow car in fh5. Maybe it will spark an interest in the game for me.

The last street trial (Modern Muscle) also started with Festival Chase. Frustrating how unnecessarily repetitive they seem to make these events.

We had a trial right at the start of FH5 where the criteria allowed you to use cars up to X class. PGG then dumbed down the AI difficulty about a couple of months into FH5 and also appears to have taken a decision to never use S2 or above and to only use S1 rarely and just on simple road circuits. I’m fairly confident we haven’t had any S2 trial since the first month or so of FH5.

The position is even more egregious now though because we have an extra (R) class, so we basically are ruling out 4 of the 8 classes available. Realistically S1 should now be treated as a standard trial class in my view, with the odd S2 or R trial to mix it up.

Of course, they could also do something like an 850PI cap if they were worried that 900 was too much for most players to cope with.

we also had a Unimog event once that allowed as low as 100pi, either end of FH4 or beginning of FH5, right before they dumbed everything down

lol, I don't remember seeing it and just assumed it was exclusive. disregard. that's how recycled things have gotten already.

Yeah...good luck with that trial lol. The meta's are worthless in it. The AI beat me in the 2nd race with the 2017 by 21 seconds..not joking. Runaway in all three attempts I made but we won the last one. They need to make the AI consistent. Their is no way to keep up with the runaway thing. Tuning and testing does little when the AI is taking those corners full blast. First time I ever thought about just saying nah not this week in 3 forza's.

I think you were probably just a bit unlucky. My AI seemed reasonably competitive but easier than last week’s first race. Team won 2-0 fairly comfortably in both races.

Main issue is that the start of Festival is not a good Trial venue. Someone always goes into those early corners too hot and causes carnage. I hung back slightly and avoided it but they also missed all the AI, so team had to do a recovery drive.

2017 = Giulia? or what car? Do you remember with what time it finished?
What car did you use? Purist tune?
Did 3 Trial runs, had to block AI in one. It didn't feel like they were unbeatable.

PS. Was about to share E60 M5 tune (AWD, no aero), which felt quite nice and is able to do sub 2:00 on Cedar Run (2nd Trial race), but there are Giulias with 1:55 on LB, so I won't bother sharing

Did the trial a total of 4 times in the Giulia, did not encounter any runaway AI that were faster than me. Although in the first trial, another player in a Giulia didn't seem happy I was winning and decided to ram me out of the checkpoint to lose the trial intentionally.

I just did this week’s Trials and won in the first run. Finished 4th in the 1st race and finished 2nd in the 2nd race (duh). I avoided the carnage by my teammate when the race began and I went without the chaos behind and the my team won by 2-0.

Well, that doesn't help me at all. It can be any car for me
But let's assume you have no model preference, don't care for how car looks, don't care for drivetrain swaps and using auto gearbox...

Tune for Alfa Giulia SC: 168 375 459 - AWD, full aero, max tire width. Have worse handling than you would expect from that setup. Maybe I should try other susp. EDIT: yeah, with Rally susp it feels better, probably could drop front width EDIT2: new SC with rally susp and narrow front tires

You can also try tunes from LogikJ or K1Z Bard. Or fellow forum members geistwriter or Constin Oddity.

Tune for Audi RS7 2021 SC: 978 029 780 - no aero, racing gearbox, so should be good even with auto. Drives well for that weight and no aero.
