hi just a few quick questions.
i am on easy just getting into the game. ive just finished catalyuna in season 3 and im with williams F1. i won the title last year and am top again this year so far with alonso 2nd 8 points behind. i was just wondering how much longer till i get a test drivers spot with mclaren, ferrari or renault? or even honda who i think is better than williams.
also i was wondering how many seasons can you play up to? is there a limit or can you just carry on?

There are 5 seasons and then you retire. The top three teams can be pretty difficult to get in to even if you win the season. But so long you hang in there the opportunity will come. Not in the first two seasons though.

vipa: I would suggest that you switch to "Medium" difficulty at this stage, or you may pick up some bad (lazy) habits!

yep, had a few more races up to monaco, and im slowly realising that im winning by about 20 seconds. gonna start a new one soon. i heard theres a big difference between easy and normal, should be interesting to see.

wow started a new career on medium, what a big step up, got a test driver with suger aguri. passed 1st test failed second. at sepang, which can be a little tricky.

Hard isn't that different from Medium, sometimes it's too easy, sometimes it's too hard. The AI are still just as stupid as before. You'll be ready for it soon enough, but don't expect getting a race seat right away to be easy. 👍

Well yes, but then it also depends on your experience level.

I think it is a big step up from Medium to Hard - not so sure about Easy to Medium as I never bothered with Easy. However, I can see that starting with Easy would be a reasonable way to learn the tracks while actually racing.

All things considered, I think the difficulty levels in F1:CE are positioned very well, with a choice between the more straightforward WC mode & the more demanding Career. The AI may not be perfect, but it's way better than GT5P or FC. 👍

easy to medium is a fairly big step, i started on easy to learn the tracks, now on medium im finding it fairly tough. im with super aguri, passed 1st test, failed next 3. i seem to always have to find an extra 1.5 to 2 seconds per lap, which is hard, with the exception of sepang where i just could not find 2 tenths. i think i have to improve cornoring to get quicker.

My advice to you would be to not go the "Test Driver" route in Medium, but continue to practice in Quick Race, Weekend, or World Championship mode until you improve your times enough so that you are able to get a 1st or 2nd Drivers position with a team.

Trust me, there'll be plenty of opportunities to do the "Tests" when you move on to Hard in Career! :ouch:
