Is there a fault with this? The limit is set to 346bph IIRC but it won't let me start with a 309bhp car. I tried 316 and 340 before that and none will allow me to run.

Well all of them were named as Rally. 206 Rally, C4 Rally in Red Bull colours and another I can't remember now.

Do you have the correct tires installed for the event?

Yes dirt tyres and the only car I could drive was the Celica Rally car which had a chunk less than 300bhp. Too slow to catch the rest! 4th in every event.

Are you sure that you are in the Seb Loeb races?

And not the Gran Turismo Rally race series?

The Gran Turismo Rally has three intermediate races, that restrict you to 345hp, and one race is restricted to snow tires, one race is restricted to dirt tires and one race restricts you to sport soft or less.

Can you recheck to be sure which race series you are in?

Now I'll have to look when 'she who must be obeyed' lets me get online.

The GT Rally sounds like it, so my mistake. Anyway it still won't let me run a 306bhp C4 Rally. Very frustrating after I flogged through the Beginner level several times to get Gold.

I'll try again and see what happens, then report back.

It is the Gran Turismo Rally event that you are doing. There are only two requirements your car has to meet to enter the event - tires and horsepower. A pop-up appears and the requirement that your car does not meet is highlighted in yellow. Since your car meets the hp, it means you probably have not purchased and installed dirt and snow tires on the car before you tried to enter the event.
