Ok.  I saved up and bought a BMW 328ci and put a turbo in it and a few other mods and then started saving cash.  I have almost $130K and the first few licenses... up to the international ones.  I am now in need of a really fast car.  I have thought about the Toyota Supra or Mitsubishi 3000GT but was wondering if someone had some suggestions.  I know I can buy a good car for under 50K and I would have 75K to put in it....What car should I bet (and mods) and how fast would it go?  Any GT3 GURUS out there that can help?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Forgot to mention..... I guess I would like something that I can put a turbocharger in...

Z06 Corvette it can get tail happy if you don't tune it right.  Subaru Impreza 22B STI is also a very fast car.  If you have a lot of money go buy the Suk Pikes Peak car and let the insanity start.

What you really need is a car that you can beat the amateur level cup series with.  That is where you get good cars.  for the world series, I however am at a loss.  I cant race in the GT world championships without having to pit twice per race (even on default tires) and the C5R in the american championship dusts the hell out of anything I throw at it, including my 708 hp Cobra R.  A new RX-7 can do it for you, but be prepared to spend mucho deniro fixing it up to compete here.  I recommend the skyline GT-R Vspec II to win money with.  Get good tires and a big turbo, adn you can make enough cash in the red emblem race to do whatever you want

The car I bought to earn me a ton of money (in both the street and rally races) was the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII GSR. It's a little heavier than the other Evo models, but it was a little cheaper. It won me all of the beginner and some of the amateur class races I entered it in. It also won me a bunch of the rally races (then I won the Subaru Impreza Prototype car which kicked major ass in the rest of the rally races--if you're wondering which race the Impreza prototype is, it was the backwards Rte 5 stage). You'll earn tons of money from the rally races, some pretty high priced cars too. Plus if you win all the races you get the Suzuki Escudo. With a $90,000 stage 4 turbo in it you get 1700+hp. You can then use that car to kick ass in just about all the other races that you can think of.

Hope that helps.

Thanks All!  I saved up more and bought the 2nd Porsche (RUF) not the boxter.  I won some more races and put everything into my ride and have about 1069HP and with changing my gearing I can go 0-60 in just under 3 secs.  400M about 9.61 and tops out about 268 MPH on the test track :-D

I made my cash at first by winning the Turbo race (beginner) on the test track with my beamer.  5K per race but you get 15K per same race in the next difficulty and that is how I won $ to supe up my Porsche!

i agree...the lancer is the BEST bet.
it cost about 25 000 and it has 280 HP stock
if u soup it up..u could get it up to 590 HP
and i won tons of races for me..
and all the rally ones...just have to equip it with the rally wheels
they car is the car that got me to be very stable in the game..
i love this car...

I have to disagree. My skyline handles alright (after 2 hours of tuning at laguna seca) The 3000gt however handles like a pregnant yak with no legs. I cant turn that thing to save my life.

I think you'll find that most cars handle 'poorly' when tuned to high levels, unless you actually put some effort into properly tuning them.

The cars' weren't originally designed to handle the increased horsepower, so you are required to change the car so that it can.

Take this car to the championship races at the beginning of the Amateur Level.

Do the American until you win the Camaro Race car. kind of challenging series but not bad. Use the 4th race save trick to make sure you get the Camaro.

The European is easy and you can win the Vertigo race car. I won two and sold one for 300,000cr. You can also win an Elise and Skyline, both good cars. The Skyline is the most powerful 4WD next to the escudo.

The German Touring car champ. is a little more challenging than the previous series but I spanked these guys with the Camaro race car. The Opel Astra is a sweet ride and you can win the Ruf 3400s which you might need for the roadster races, and the Beetle Cup car which you car use for the Beetle series.
Or if you win the Opel you can sell it and buy a RuF and a Beetle.

With these cars the whole amateur level will start going quickly.

Ok, maybe after heavy tuning the skyline will handle barely decently, but most cars after heavy tuning will handle pretty well...So even after heavy tuning, the skyline will still handle relatively poorly

HEY TX

if i were you i would just save up and buy your self a Lotus 98' Esprit V8 SE 106,000 credits mod that bad boy up and youll be halllin some asssssss right now that one of my fastest car... it handles pretty well too i got mine to do 281mph:lol:      :thatsodd:
