Sega GT Online

This thread talked about Sega GT 2002 and all its faults. MistaX tells me that Sega GT Online has minor improvements, more cars, more tracks, online play, and more cars on the track at one time.

6 in System Link, 12 Online. That's odd - you'd think it would be the other way around. I guess they're trying to get people to play online.

Has anyone gotten to play yet? What do you think?
 
I think it was supposed to be released back in December, but right now the computer at work is on track for a release later this month. It looks good, I heard from one of the xbox reps that stop by the store that the online mode is supposed to be really good.
I'll most likely get it, since it is only gonna be $20
 
I might get this, well if I ever get bored of TXR3. I did play the demo of Sega GT2002 and it wasn't half bad, well compared to the Dreamcast ones.
 
i got mine it cool and everything but they lied you cant get your save for Sega Gt 2002 . they just give you more money. but overall i say its still a good for online play
 
the online mode could really use some better engineering. its hard to figure out what people want to take, unless youre the host, theres no locks on what kind of cars are allowed (at least, i havent seen any). Also, is there a way to see what car other people have selected? i get confused all the time cause the interfacce is so fuzzled up.
 
man i wish i had high speed because xbox live isnt really that much
the only other online game i ever played was MCO witch i liked and xbox live is 5 bux cheaper
but cable or DSL is quite a bit more i think:( :(
 
If you go tou your load and save area .There is a button that says "PERK" on it .If you hit it it does load your file from sega 2002 . I did this last night . I just bought sega online yesterday
 
It doesnt laod your save at all, it jsut gives you an extra 100,000 to start out with giving you a total of 113,000. Pissed me off :\
 
I dunno I have heard different sides, some saying u can load ur old fle some saying not so ive come to a conclusion that im probly just going to buy PGR2 (Project Gotham Racing 2) That or get it for my birthday... in July.... or Christmas... Oh well Pandora Tomorrow( Awsome game buy or die) Will keep me Busy till then.
 
I have the game, it does NOT load my sega GT 2002 game. I can use perk to get the extra starting cash and thats it. Ive heard you can dupe cars and stuff, id like to do that :D
 
i have both and have played segagt2002 for about 2 hours (I've owned the game for 3 weeks.) not a wise investment in my opinion, because whenever i get the itch to play some live, its always rainbow 6 or pgr2. segagt is too much hassle to get a good game going.
 
Holy crap. Don't expect Sega GT to be anything wonderful. In fact I think it's pretty damn lousy. I need to start shucking all my games. Get back to the good stuff. Hell, I should probably sell my consoles all together. Well, after I get some GT4 time (:
 
yeah theres alot of not so good stuff on my shelves. space wasters. i think im gonna just invest in the top 5 this year, Halo2, half life 2, GT4, Metal gear solid 3, and metroid prime 2
 
this is going to be the best gaming year iv ever seen,and my ps2 and xbox are going to get a workout like they have never seeen befour also:D:tup:
