Has anyone here ever purchased a vehicle at a government auction?I was thinking that would be an easy way to find a good first car, but i dont know how reliable they are.If anyone has ever been to an auction, even if they didnt buy anything, can u give me your impressions?

I bought a 1998 Toyota Avalon in October from the New Jersey State Auto Auction, which has the lowest vehicle prices anywhere on Earth as well as the lowest possible phone number in the United States (factoring in area code).

No guarantees with these auctions though. New Jersey's is good because a lot of the cars are ex-fleet and high-end, so they're all high mileage but cheap, well maintained, and full of stuff. Most of these auctions are lucky to see an Acura.

i wanna know about government auctioned vhehicles too, a friend of a friend of mine just bought an 04 wrx with only 2000 something miles for 19,000. now the quality of the car is questionable..im sure the previous owner beated on it or something..u can just tell..plus it came with some nice enkei rims.
