Well I've been playin GT3 this weekend for about 15 hours and Sunday night right after my grandfather got his 27" Sony Wega television he needed a cable spliter so we went and bought it and we also bought a S-Video cable for our PS2 cause we use a 20" Sony Wega. As I was playing Sunday night that is is, I encountered 2 big probs! In arcade mode and simulation mode i couldnt see my cars that i own. Even in arcade mode when i go into my garage it just would show any car. :(
later i checked the the thing in 2 player battle mode and the car loaded and then went back to free run. the cars show up now even in my home garage! :)
Then i put the game in the main page and went to get a pizza to eat. when i got back i didnt see any replays being showed at the main screen. i checked after i finished my pizza and when i try to go down it wouldnt go down. the backgroud movie was there but i couldnt go down or up. the main menu froze but the backgroud movie was still working!
Anybody know what going on!!!!!!!
I wanna play GT3 but im scared to play because it will freeze or something weird will happen.
I know its not a PS2 prob, cause I've tried other games and they worked.
Only GT3 causes these problems.

HEY M8 HAVE YOU CHECKED IF YOUR DISC IS SCRATCHED,IT might be that!

Hope it gets better!

notify me on your check, i think i can help!

relax don't worry :D

:D ;)

I've used a PS2 on a Wega without any problems. As the others said, check the disk first, then start paring down the problem. Like, remove everything you've added and just connect the standard cable to the TV and see if it still does it. Then you know something's up with the PS2 or disc. (it doesn't sound like the TV). If it's fine, start adding in stuff one at a time and check each time, so you can figure out where the problem likely is.

Not sure if that'll help, but it's easier once you're sure where things are going awry.

well it was working good today but i dont know about tomorrow. im just scared sometimes of loosing the game.
ya my lense is fine i cleaned it with a lense cleaner.
my GT3 cd is not scartched. but im glad it worked today. hope it works tomorrow.

It sounds like it might be a picture size setting on the TV hiding the menus from you. I've got a 32" WEGA, and have had this before. Check in your GT3 options whether you've got it set to normal or widescreen, and make sure the TV picks up the appropriate screen size.

It sometimes does happen. Sometimes my PS2 refuses to read the disk, although the lens spic 'n span clean, the disc in best condition. But well, ...it happens... :D

Well I had that same problem with my GT2 one PS1 and the problem was my memory card. Because when I used a new memory card it worked just fine, so I tried the old one again and the problem happened again. I dont know if that is your prob too but try that see what happened.
