Server Time seems off every now and then

Hi there. My latest post (and I would guess all posts) showed a wrong time stamp immediately after posting. It said posted 26 minutes ago when it actually was just created. Nowafter checking once again the time is correct. Maybe simply refreshing the page would correct this bug too, I will test and report back.

Just wanted to point this out in case it might reveal some configuration or other issue on the server admin side.

There seems to be something wrong with the time settings of the website. All post times ("posted x minutes ago") are showing as 33 minutes more than they actually are. Immediately after posting something, it says the post is 33 minutes old.

I tested it with this very post and could replicate it somewhat.

Initial showing:

Neither refreshing the page nor navigating there once more changed anything.

After closing the gtplanet tab on my Firefox on Android (maybe relevant) and then opening gtplanet again (but not killing the whole Firefox app) it was correct:

My bad. I searched for "server time" but didn't find anything.

Edit: @daan maybe you could move my post replicating the issue to that thread. It might help Jordan to pin it down.

Personally it is not a big deal to me but I just wanted to point it out.

The only thing consistent about this issue is that everyone who has reported it is using Firefox Mobile. The server time remains correct, and post timestamps never change. Unfortunately there's not much I can do aside from suggesting another browser.

Just fyi I am using @crome s time trial script. Just for the off chance that it has something to do with it.

Personally it is a non issue. But I am also quite intrigued by it. The great gtplanet time stamp saga.

I don‘t see how it could, but if you want to rule out browser extensions as the culprit, you can try with a private / incognito tab, which disables them all.
