Hi Guys,

I just pulled out my old DFP and am trying to connect it to the PS3.
I have the power on and the USB plugged in. The two green lights are active, the one on the right is always on the one of the left flashes on and off. My PS3 does not detect the wheel, I can't control it in the menus and no games detect it.

The strange thing is that when the DFP is plugged the 6Axis auto configures itself as controller 2.

What am I doning wrong, am I forgetting to set something up?

I have the PAL 40Gb version of the PS3 if this makes a difference.

Thanks.

Is your wheel plugged into port #1 or #3 port #1 being the one to the far left.
Have you gone into the control settings and selected the DFP wheel.
Are you plugging the wheel in before turning the PS3 on?
Does your wheel spin when you turn on your PS3?
If your wheel spins after you turn on the PS3 does it spin after you load your game?
Also try turning your sixaxis controller off.

The following is true with the 6-axis on or off
The wheel spins when the PS3 is turned on. This is in Port 1
It does not spin when a game loads.

What controller options are you talking about, in game or on the dashboard (i can't find anything for this in the dashboard).

I know the wheel works, it runs fine on my PC

Go to garage then options scroll down and you will see about 3 or 4 wheels to chose from click on the DFP and hit enter, that should set the game up for your wheel. I don't think you need to do this each time as it ask you if you want to save this setting. Your wheel should work then, I think your game is reading the default settings which is the "sixaxis controller".

Ok I will get it a try ASAP.
I am not sure if this will fix it though, I have the same problem in F1:CE do you know how unexciting it is to race an F1 car with a non FFB 6-Axis? :(
I also can't use the wheel's navigation buttons in the dashboard, is this normal?

Thanks for all the help, it is appreciated.

Once you get your wheel working the buttons should work to navigate. As for the F1 game if you get your wheel working it's still not very fun because you have no FFB in the game. Check the PS3 section for F1 help soon there is a rumored update to add FFB read the F1 section as to how to add the patch.
