Setting up USB for PS2

I have a 256mb mikomi stick i can save images to it but when i go to photo lab it doesnt have it on the drop down list and also it doesnt show it in the ps2 browser.

I was wondering is their any files i need to add to the memory stick ?

USB drives will not appear in Photo Lab OR the PS2 Browser.
 
so how do i get access to them in thier?

the images i mean,because id like to edit them or cant you,also how can i back up my save then lol
 
On your computer. They'll be in a folder called "GT4".

As for backing up your save... you'll need a MaxDrive. A regular USB drive won't cut it as the software to recognise the drive is not contained in the PS2.
 
You can't back up your save on a normal USB stick, nor can you edit pictures in GT4. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can view pictures that are on the stick in the Photo Lab either. The only USB thing you can do to the pictures is to save them onto the stick.

If you want to save a picture onto the USB stick, when saving the picture, select "USB memory" or something like that in the drop-down menu that asks you where you want to save to.
