Well, today marks my sixth GTPlanet-birthday and the end of my seventh year at GTPlanet. A lot has changed for me since I first joined, been here for most of my adolescence. Back then I was just about to start Year 9 (8th Grade for the Colonials), and I'm now midway through an undergraduate Degree.

I can only cringe at my earliest posts, way back when in the GT4 section. Partly due to my erroneous use of spelling, punctuation and grammar, but mostly my rather fruitless attempts at comedy:

For the 1000 miles races i was lucky enough to acquire an AC Cobra and not have that as one of my opponents aswell. Instead i had an Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint GTA 1600, an Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint Speciale, a Fiat 500L, a Ginetta G4 and a Marcos Mini Marcos GT. i blitz them on the first 2 races (well, b-spec blitz them) however, that all changed when i got to Circuit de la Sarthe (which i did on b-spec aswell), on the 20th lap the car spun off onto the sand at Indianapolis corner (the one at the end of the straight after the mulsanne straight) and got stuck up against the tires. you'd think the driver could have just reversed, made a right-hander and carried on , but nooooo! this guys brain never really kicked in (kinda like the turbocharger on a Peugeot 406 Diesel!), instead he just reversed and then drove into the tires again and again repeatedly for 30 minutes! i then decided to quit (well i was already in 4th by that time anyway!), i then re-did it on slow pace throughout and won by 9 laps.

But after having one or two PMs from staff (No infractions :D) and virtually every thread I made in my first two years here locked, I've straightened myself out a bit.

It's been fun. Had some good laughs, some rather heated discussions, met some very interesting people, one or two in real life, and I hope to meet many more as time goes on!

Well congratulations Peter, hope you stay here longer at peace having fun.

Congratulations on your being here seven years, Peter! :D:tup:

Here's to another seven?

Congrats...At least you tried, failed, and learned. Most people forget to do the third one. 👍

I can't even remember when I singed up on here, I should really check that out sometime.
Edit: Goodness gracious! Apparently I've been here for 8 years.

You are only a few days older than me, member wise :D

Here is to another 7

'Grats on putting up with us so long, Peter!

Edit: Just realized I hit 9 years 15 days ago...

Congrats Peter (and you too, TB)!

I'm sure my anniversary's coming up soon as well, but I won't steal the limelight ;)
