I don't normally link Speedhunters pictures because everyone and their mother goes there and sees them, but this... well, this is perfection.

It's the best looking car to come out of Japan and I don't care if anyone disagrees.

In most situations, I totally agree

Until you park it next to one of these:

The guy who built this car just passed away and now the family is selling it for 22.500 USD. It has a GM 502 crate engine and a 700r4. Found the car on corvetteforum.com

Hah! Looks like my dad isn't the only one who has trouble fitting everything under the L88 hood.

You can buy much taller L88 hoods than this. That looks like a stock height L88 hood, you can get these hood at least 6 inches taller.

I believe those are +4 inches hoods. The tallest ones are 2 inches taller:scared:.

A hood off of an L88 Corvette (originals only exist on the handful of L88s left) or a replica of this design are "L88 hoods".

yeah that looks pretty mean until you catch a glimpse of the stupid wheels and tires:

:sly: Yup.
seriously, the L88 hood was a taller hood for the corvette factory racecars. They were taller to have room for a cold air intake in front of the windshield. But very few of the corvettes with these hoods today have the cold air intake. Most install it to have more room for taller intake manifolds and larger carburettors or even superchargers.

I see FON22Y at car shows here from time to time... I'm not a fan of it, but I'll get more pics for you when I see it again :)

The 191 is easily one of the best looking "modern" F1 cars around. But I can never bring myself to actually like it.
