It's getting close to November and I have spoken with Nick "Smallhorses" and he already has the race program at hand. So now we need to see a show of hands to figure out what weekend of November and who are going to be able to make it in Emeryville if we can agree to a date with Nick. If not we can try to get it somewhere within the Bay Area.

For the usual suspect's you know who you are send me a PM or post me a message at this link:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/group.php?do=discuss&group=&discussionid=111

For new interested participants send me a PM or post a message here and we will try to see if there is going to be a vacant RIGG available.

Looks like a one LAN meet. Also since some of the attendees aren't going on both days Leland was thinking if any of you guys would like to meet a day early like Friday afternoon or after office hours on Jan. 29th

I'm only available the final weekend of November, and would probably suggest we open up the possibility of weekends in December or January too. 👍

Shouldn't that be SFGTP alumni in the title? ;)

I've been banned from any participation in anything GT while I'm in SF.

Women

I'll be in Vegas on Thanksgiving weekend. We fly back on Saturday afternoon, so I could probably make Sunday, if it ended up being then.

December or January could be intriguing. I might still only make one day, unless it was the weekend between the championship games and Super Bowl. (January 30th-31st).

I really enjoy NFL Football, so I would not want to miss a whole weekend of games, especially playoffs, to run LAN.

So anyhow, put me down as a maybe. :D

I could get any weekend off if I ask my master. I like EDK's idea of only one day, maybe we could do two consecutive Saturdays? I think my race brain would fade much less with a rest between matches. Maybe that's the worst idea ever I admit butt. I've been redoing all the licenses and fahrting around the 'ring lately. Go GT4. 👍

I'm likely not gonna be able to make any date, but on the off chance my wife and I don't want to get up EARLY and stand in line at Fry's for a good deal on a 2nd HDTV, I'll then be visiting my uncle in Antelope for T-Giving and that would give way to a good weekend to come and play around, nothin' too serious I'm sure :) But I'll second Kevin, anything getting in the way of football (ESPECIALLY if I get to see my Giants play - which isn't often at all) then I'll stay home. So after all that blabbing, how about a maybe 👍

I'm down for anything really, the sooner we find out which date, the better! That way I can ask for the time off from work.

I really shouldn't. I'd rather ask for the time off, because it would let them prepare for me not being there, and i don't want them to begin thinking they can't depend on me!! =X

*coughs* M5 enduro!!:sly:

Ok guys, I'm finally ready to start thinking about this again...
Famine's wedding is out of the way, my quest for 100,000 A-spec points has ended and I'm getting the urge to LAN once more. January is looking more favourable since December is mostly booked already with Xmassy stuff, shopping, shows, parties and suchlike.

Plenty of races prepped from over-preparing for "Go!" so it should be conceivable at short notice though...
I would like if possible to host this somewhere else secure though, as January is likely to be poor weather and I'm not keen on leaving Mollster & Pollster out in the rain since they both leak a little. :(

Ramon? Leland? Your garage(s) maybe?

I am, as ever, expecting to suddenly be launched England-wards on a short notice training class sometime in the new year so I might need to push a little to figure out when that is, and since it'll be snowboarding season I'm going to await our cabin rental schedule before I'll commit to anything 100%.
(Anyone else interested in coming skiing/boarding with us this year?)

I'm going to leave Ramon (RadRacing) to continue organising this one, and with the responsibility for corralling and contacting all the potential attendees.
I'd probably change the thread title to "SFGTP6 Interest check & Date selection", since the "SFGTP Alumni" bit kind of implies it's only open to previous attendees (and while they should be given priority) it's not necessarily exclusive to them.
I'd also suggest that the recommendation to post via PM or RIGGRacing group is removed, as the discussion is more visible and easier to access for everyone right here in this thread. 👍

Okay, it looks like it going to be in the month of January. I don't know how to change the poll to a new one but in any case just start checking your calendars 'cuz we are going racing!

Leland your shop/garage is looking good for the next LAN meet so let me know if you are still game for it. Looking forward to hearing from all you guys out there in GT land.

I'll have to pass on this one...sorry, I know it's hard to have fun without me :p.

Damnit, we were hoping to get a great lineup of real cars at "Sechs".
Your Z, my 911, Marc's Dinan M3 and Kevin & Dan's spectacular new rides!
(Though I'll leave it to them to reveal details if they wish ;)...)

I'm changing the thread title a little too...

There is no way in hell I'd drive the Z through those damn mountains in December or January :scared:. If we have a LAN (GT5!) in July or August...you betcha! ;).

Yep! I'm game. Looks like we have the biggest commitment for the end of January. Weekend of the 30th-31st good for you guys? I like the idea of spreading the work load around too. Nick doing the events, Ramon coordinating, and I'm cool with hosting at my place. Keep me posted.

Controller driver or not you will be missed. Unless you want to "red eye" it down here and back. I have an extra room and would be happy to shuttle you back and forth to one of the ports close to here. Heck there's Buchannan Airport in Concord you could walk to my house from. Take about 20 minutes but still doable. Let me know.

<--- my new ride :D

^. I was driving on I-5, smiling of course, and I was passed by a GT-R. I felt sad when I realized that I didn't even have the fastest Nissan within 100 feet :D.

:lol:You should drive my Bus. Talk about not having the fastest anything for hundreds of miles.

Gonna have to pass on this January date as well. But much like Kyle said, a GT5 meeting later on in '10 is a solid yes from me!
