They are horrendous on some cars!! I really hope PD fixes this. Very odd shadows flickering here and there. Big oversight?
 
Shadows aren't graphics you just draw, they are rendered in real time by the processors. Increasing the shadow detail would probably mean lower frame rates. Do you want that?

To get better shadows PD has to find a way to optimize something else so the game runs faster then they can apply higher resolution shadows such that you won't notice the frame rate drop.

GT5 has chosen to have more shadows...shadows in cockpits, on roads and on cars passing under shadows...at lower resolution.

Maegan Fox has this slight thumb deformity that makes her thumb look like a big toe. If you stared at it long enough maybe you would get grossed out. But that would be crazy don't you think? :)
 
It's normal for the ps3.
PS3 comes with a nvidia chip (RSX which is based on the 7800 chipset)
I had this cards on sli on a dell XPS, and this cards are simply not able to render proper shadows, without taking a big step down on graphics.
Live with it
 
i find it kinda strange, gt5P everything looked in a way better then GT5. whit 16 cars... why can't this be the case for gt5?
