Sharing cars online

Can someone tell me how this function works. If someone is sharing a car can I use it? And what are the conditions, do I have to be in a race with that person? Thanks I haven't figured this out yet.

I think, though not sure yet that your shared cars are for use by your shared driver. So if my thoughts are correct and you have shared B-Spec Bob and have shared a Civic then when one of your friends challenges Bob to a race he will drive the Civic you have shared but it seems this function is not available at the present time.

That makes sense. Lets hope we find out more soon.
