Hey guys I've been looking around and saw variuos threads about USB pictures and Max Drive and such ... but i have a few Questions about them.

First off, Can I use a USB Flash Drive to save replay data too, or are they only good for saving pictures?

Also I was thinking about getting a Max Drive becuase I know I could definatly save Replays and Pitures to it, but I was wondering, can I directly save the pictures to the max drive for high quality Pictures, or must they go through the memory card and be compressed for the Low quality ones?

The only thing I worry about with the Max Drive is I see alot of reveiws that people have wiped out their memory cards, lost all their data, and made there memory cards unusable. Is this a common thing with the Max Drive? Cause that might suck to lose all that.

I will answer only one question and the rest you have to find by using this thing called a search button! Sorry If I sounded like an ass man but PLEASE SEARCH! Yes you can use an USB stick to save replays from what I hear. Now go search for the other answers!

I did search and if you say they are answered I will look again, but my specific questions where not answered the first time I did my search so, I asked sorry for the inconveince.

I've used the Max Drive for GT3 and it is great for sharing replay and gamesaves, so I assume it would be great for the same thing in GT4 👍. I have had no problems so far of memory card problems either.

You used it to save GT3 game saves? Do you need a certain USB drive, or will any kind work? I'm looking for a memory card that is larger than the lousy ones made by Sony. Can you use it to save other game files?

Well, the Max Drive can be used to transfer and store gamesaves from any game from the memory card to the Max Drive and then to the PC. You will need the Max Drive or a chipped PS2 with a USB Thumb drive to be able to do this. 👍

OK, for a minute there I thought you meant that any USB Thumb Drive could be used like a regular PS2 memory card. I'm not into sharing game saves. I just want a higher capacity memory card for my PS2.

The MaxDrive includes PS2 software that lets you put PS2 saves on a USB stick. Then, that USB stick can be read by any old PC (or Mac!) to let you put all your saves on your computer. No game will access it directly as a save device though, with the exception of GT4 saving jpegs to it.

Thanks for all the quick Replys all my questions have been answered and I think I will be going with the MAXDrive. Again thank you all.
