Sharing save game data

Hi,

So my PS3 died the other week and stupidly I don't have my data backed up. I had pretty much all the cars I wanted in the game and had finished the single player as such, I just cannot face going back and starting again.

So I was wondering if save games can be shared so you can copy over the save data from someone else and your (new) PS3 can read this and happily access it as if it is your own?

Thanks,

C.

Yeah, but I suggest doing it over PSN as it is against AUP here.If you do go back to the grindstone though I can put up just about any car you need online.

Game saves are locked to a PSN account, so if you somehow got a hold of a game save which is not yours, you will not be able to go online with it.

And as Rob said, its against the AUP.

There's a couple of misunderstandings here.

First, you cannot load another user's gamesave as if it is your own. GT5 will recognise it's attached to another PSN account and blank it. Secondly, attempting this isn't against the AUP - if it were, we wouldn't have a thread for sharing GT5P gamesaves, which does work. Lastly, game-sharing, which is putting another user's ID onto your machine in order to access DLC that they paid for and you didn't, is both against our AUP and the PSN terms of service - and wouldn't help you anyway.

It is now possible to do that, I bought some software a few weeks back that allows you to do just that. For instance, I could take your GT5 save and simply use the software to reassign it to one of my PSN accounts, very simple process.

Why not call playstation they'll help you out. I know they helped me not for the same situation but for expertise knowledge there the ones. And if not you have us.

Yes, you'd have to run it through... it's an Action Replay program, right?

That would, nevertheless, be using someone else's save but reassigned. You can't backup your gamesave and use it on a different account as you can with, for example, GT5P, Assassin's Creed or the Lego games.

It's called PS3 Xploder Ultimate Edition. 👍

Correct, you need the software which is pretty expensive, cost me £14.99 and I don't really use it that much, was just curious to see if it did actually work and it works a treat. 👍

I always get Action Replay, Xploder and Codebreaker mixed up
