Hmm... I'm not sure which forum this belongs in, but ya... this is definately the wrong one.

And, you are plagued by the biggest Windows problem going.

All I can suggest is shutting down everything possible before you try and do it.

ie - Anything in your taskbar, shut it down - then, hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and shut down everything but Explorer and Systray.

If that still doesn't work, just call the Sharkport support folks. There's going to be very little they can do, but it might be worth a shot.

BTW...SHarkport's suck

And how does the sharkport suck? I myself figure it's a great tool. I've used it plenty of times to backup my memory card to the PC, just to keep it safe.

Now, the purist may not like it when others decide to have fun with their own game and decide to make some hybrids, but until we start running races online vs. each other, then that doesn't really matter. Does it?

I'm really curious though. Just what is it that makes the SharkPort suck?

And ya... I'm in the wrong forum too. Anyone want to move it to the right one? The Rumblestrip perhaps?

I think sharkports are great. I would love to create my own cars under 1000hp of course..i hate unrealistic 1000000000hp cars. I think it would be cool though for a nice car like the porsche or nomad diablo.

#1 - Are you trying to restore .SPS files to your memory card?
#2 - Does your SharkPort work fine backing up files from your memory card to the PC?
#3 - What is the EXACT error message?

Can't help unless I have full details.

#4 - What version of the software are you running?

It could be as simple as trying to restore a V2 .SPS save with V1 software.

4.and how do i find out what version of the software im running?

When you start your SharkPort software, does it say SharkPort 2?

If it does, you have V2. If not, you have V1. If that's the case, are you trying to restore someone else's V2 save onto your memory card? If you have V1, you can get V2 software somewhere off of www.gameshark.com.

As for the error message, it's a Windows invalid page fault. I was hoping it was a SharkPort error.

Are you starting your PS2 SharkPort CD before you open up your SharkPort software? That's what you're supposed to do.
