SharkPort Problems/Updates!!

Hey, I just got a SharkPort to start doing Hybrids and everything. So, I installed it, thinking it'd work. But, when I start it up, it tells me it's "Encountered a problem and needs to close." Does anyone else have this problem with theirs? I tryed running it in Compatability Mode too, and it still doesn't work. I reinstalled it twice, deleting the directory once, and it still doesn't work.

Maybe I need to update it or something? Only problem is that I can't find where to update it. Does anyone know where to update it? Does anyone have the problems I have? Any help you could provide would be awesome. I'm going crazy knowing I can't do them after waiting this long... :(
 
Does it say what the error is?

Did U check your system device manager for any hardware issues, specifically USB issues?

What do you mean check the device manager? I wouldn't think that I'd get an Error because of it not reading the USB cord plugged in. I installed SharkPort 2, and it worked fine. So, I don't know what it is.
 
Yep, it doesn't make much sense, just thought U should check, and eliminate it as a possability. So U had a sharkport 2 that wotked, and this is an xport2 and it doesn't?

Anyway, if U want to check the device manager, in win98 at least U go into the control panel, and open the system section, and then click the device manager tab. Don't know about newer versions of windows.
 
did you un-install all the sharkport stuff before you installed the x-port? i would try un-installing both the sharkport and x-port and then re-install the x-port...i've never heard of that error, and the fact that you had the sharkport first is a big clue...

I don't have an X-Port. All I have is a SharkPort that I borrowed from my cousin. When I installed it, it gave me that error. So, I uninstalled/re-installed it more then twice, and I still get the same Error. What I meant about the SharkPort 2 was that I d/l the software from somewhere (Just like installing off of a CD) and it worked fine.

So, like I said, I have no idea what it is. But it's really pissing me off... :mad:
 
I think what confused us is that the pic U posted says xport on it. If U are looking for sharkport software, do a search of this forum. I know someone put a link up for it, at Gothi's site I think.

I have the software, with and without the CD. And neither of them work, they both freeze on me when I open it up. It sucks balls.
