I have a SCPH-50001 and my sharkport ain't doing ****. Can someone help with this problem its really pissing me off.👎

Yes, I think I should. When I put in the PS2 disc it does not read it. And saying it ain't a PS1 or a PS2 disc. Im thinking my PS2 is too new for my disc.I got the sharkport 1 year ago. Its quite weird.

this is what i have to do to get mine to work. open the disc tray and put in the disc. turn off the ps2 and then connect the cable turn on and reset, i may have to turn off and then on a couple times before it works but it finaly does. Or it could be your laser...

I had the same problem when I got my X-Port. I used a CD laser cleaner and it worked great. Now the Disc loads everytime I put it in.

I doubt its my laser. Ive had this PS2 for 3 monthes now. And it work great with my games, just not the cheating devices. My disc is scatched alot, I bet its that.

I've run into similar scenario's when trying to get mine working. For me it's all sequence to get it to work correctly.

My hitch is that I don't have a TV to tell me when it's linked up and ready.

So...
Step 1: Connect all the cables.
Step 2: Insert disk in PS2
Step 3: Start Software on PC
Step 4: Turn on PS2.
Step 5: Wait a few minutes for PS2 to boot up and get running.
Step 6: Begin transfering data.

I'll give this a shot.

I have the xportv2 here in the uk. I have got a new version ps2 50003 the shiny silver one. I cant get the disk to load either. Just keeps coming up with not a ps2 disk. Anyone know a way to get this working without having to chip my ps2.

Try cleaning the disc perhaps. Xport discs DO get a little messy over time...

I know someone with a new silver PS2. I'll try my Xport out on their machine tomorrow...
