I dont see many people with them or liking them....

I LOVE mine. One of my favorite Looking/sounding cars and by far the most fun to drive.

Mine took ALOT of work to get right but its a ferrari chaser/beater.

Its also the only car i need TC on 1. Otherwise all that tuning just shreads the tires all the way through 1+2 and most of the way through 3rd. Mine can do 254 mph on sarthe no chicanes which is pretty decent i think....

Realistically speaking, 254 mph in a Shelby will make the guys who made the Veyron have an existential meltdown.

In the game, that's really good.

I have one too one of my favorite cars to drive, wish it was a premium though. Mine wont do 250 but it will do close to 200. I have not fully modded it yet.

Yeh lol that is drafting behind a tuned veyron though and is unrealistic.....

I have top speed set to 230mph normally which means 215mph is easily achievable without a draft.

I just think its such a decent car. And so good for dragging as it keeps up and beats supercars which most dont expect...

Mines got everything and gets regular engine rebuilds etc. Cant wait to get another!

A funny conversation at the VW board popped into my head if the Shelby indeed can go faster than the Veyron:

Das Shelby go faster!

Nein! Nein! Nein!

Here's a real one to drool over!

I've only seen it once and snapped it up, though not tried it yet. Seems to do well when the AI drives it, though perhaps it's one of those cars that is a little unrealistically good, like the Miura.

I've been looking for one but haven't come across it yet. I will snap it up in a heartbeat when I see it. It was one of my favorites in gt4.

Just a warning for everyone.. if you paint it, the stripes will disappear. I have one now, but I'm waiting to buy another one given that I want stripes.

If anyone wants my current solid-colored one, it will be available for free once I come across another GT350 in the UCD.

PM me your PSN if you'd like...

Damn, I wanted it in British Racing Green (or similar) with White stripes...

Then it's no longer a Shelby 350GT. Just the usual tuned-to-the-max generic GT5 car that could be any of the other 900 or so generic cars.

I really don't see what enjoyment people get out of turning a car into any other generic car, but hey... whatever floats your boat. Personally I would rather keep it a Shelby 350GT (warts and all) and race it against competitive cars.

Cheers for that insightful opinion.... was there any need to post just to have a little bash.

Of course its a shelby still, nothing wrong with tuning. The game would be rather bland if every car remained standard. Its fun to push yourself and a car to the max and see what you can do.

Also seeing as this car was originally a purpose built race only car, theres no harm in updating it so it can race competitively against modern rivals.

I've played every GT. In each one there is "that" car that defines the game for me. In GT5 it is this car.

I agree the cobra just doesnt do it for me... more power than this but no fun. And the noise of this thing. Have to turn my amp right down because of the rumble. It sounds like the manifold isnt attached to anything.

I own two, The first one I kept "stock" and the second I've given afew mods and a fresh coat of metallic silver paint. Was a bit sad to lose the stripes though. :ouch:

Now if i could only change the wheel color to black... *sigh*

Can someone please explain the logic of this NOT being a premium car while that ridiculous '71 Mach 1 is? I've owned three Mustangs now (real ones, not in the game), and to be honest, I find it kind if offensive...

I agree with calan. I personally find the game rather bland when everyone is running generic tuned-to-the-max whatevers.

Leave 'em stock, put some decent tires on 'em and run what ya brung.

#1 👍 👍
Perfect sense, but then....the game does lack in that department.
I'd have 2 in my shed, one stock, one RM'd (IF it was available) Perfect for TransAM racing. :)

I have two. One with zero miles...won it as my Classic Muscle Car for completing the NASCAR school. I leave it parked. It is probably my most prized car.

I also have one I've tuned a bit and painted silver. I aim to buy another just to have.

Beautiful car. Wish the GT500 were in the game...but if you tune the GT350, that is basically what you get.

I am actually looking for a GT350R Does anyone have any to trade?

why is Veyron not a premium, why not Amuse Carbon R...

questions of the universe... who knows what goes on in Kaz's head. :dunce:

anyway, yeah, GT350 is one of my favs of the game.

one car I was waiting, chomping at the bits, to see in the UCD.
it took literally almost a month to show up on my list.

I was so happy to finally purchase it. I was shaking like a little school girl... :O

keeping mine stock. love it the way it is. :)

The GT500 didn't come around until 1967. Mustangs that should have been included, but were not:

'69/70 Boss 429 or Boss 302
'68 428 Super Cobrajet
ANY '65-70 Shelby Mustang, but especially a 1970 GT500 Convertible
Big Red or The Green Hornet (one off Shelby Mustang Coupe prototypes)
'68 Bullitt Mustang (GT Fastback with 390 CI)
'93 Cobra
'86 SVO

Any Rousch, Steeda, or especially Saleen Mustangs.

It really would have been nice to see at least ONE third gen Mustang in there...

Just had to get myself a GT350R. After my investigations into the Engine Overhaul I am less than impressed with it so it had to be a new one! I set up a new (permanent) account on my PS3 with todays date with 1973 as the year and managed to get a GT350R (not that there are many 1965 cars in the game)... much to my relief. Technically it is a Birthday Exploit, but I will not be changing what I got so will not be trying for any other cars. If I am still playing in a years time, I will no doubt get something different on that account as my gift car.
