Hey guys,
So, there see to be two fundamental problems with the game. One is the input lag and two is the feeling of loose FFB or feeling of your car being on a slippery surface all the time. People from nogripracing have reported that there is a fix for that loose car feeling and this fix worked for me! Here's what was happening:
- Let's say I bought a new Nissan GT-R, stock, and went on the track. As soon as I started driving and started to move the steering wheel around the car felt like it was too loose, it didnt have much grip at all especially on straights, and the FFB wasnt there most of the time, except when i was going into heavy corners and going over rumble strips.
Now here's the fix for that, which works for me:
- Pause and unpause your game, AFTER the race has already started (after green light). This does magic for my setup. The car gets a whole lot more grip, FFB is nice and strong, I can actually drive and the lag doesnt really affect me too (althought it doesnt fix the lag). Mind you, you have to do this for every race you enter, which is very annoying.
The problem sounds pretty simple and repeatable, so I'm sure SMS could easily fix it, granted they are aware of it.
My setup: PC, DFGT.
Try it for your system, if you have a similar problem. Hopefully this helps.
