Shift 2 wont let me keep my manual box.

I don't know if this is just me, but everytime I do the first 'evaluation' session, I'll complete this and it will recommend the settings to use. But after this point, the game defaults back to auto gears.

I cannot drive without using a clutch and shifter as I feel out of control. If I want to go back to manual, I have to exit, then got back to the options, thus going back to the evaluation and the cycle begins again.

I am using a Fanatec Carrera wheel and otherwise (after much tweaking) it seems ok. I also prefer all assists off in all my racing games.

Anyone else have this problem? any help would be appreciated!
 
Set your assist options etc in the menu, the make sure you press start, not back, so it saves it properly.
 
Thanks, that was quick, but have already been doing this.

It will be manual for the evaluation, then when I get to the race it has gone back to auto. The numpty that keeps 'locking in some settings" obviously thinks I need an auto box!

Suppose I'll have to live with it, but it's very frustrating to not be able to play how i want it!

I am hoping that once the game starts properly it will stop overiding my option saves.
 
You have gone past the opening races yet?

Thats why then, just get past those. Then go to the options via the main menu..
