Shoe Help

I'm just overall trying to upgrade my wardrobe, and footwear is a pretty big part of that. Size restricts my choices a bit too, my feet are quite wide. Problem is a lot of styles just don't fit me, that's part of why skate shoes are a bit of a staple for me. They're one of the few styles of non-leather shoes that fit me. Right now I've got a conservatively styled pair of skate shoes that I'm wearing with jeans when I go to class. I'm looking for a few more options, because I have loafers and oxfords, but they're a bit too dressy for most first year college type events.

Well, I agree with the oxfords, if it's for an interview. (Sorry, I keep misunderstanding everything, for some weird reason.)

I'll third the other Mods and say a pair of oxfords are the bare minimum if these are meant for date/interview double duty.

This is a bit left-field, and it requires a fair bit of hunting (and more knowledge of your specific foot size), but hunt around on eBay for a good pair of Cole Haans. The Nike tie-up makes for comfortable shoes, and I snagged a new-in-box pair a few years back for $25. They've served me incredibly well, and have just the right proportions and detailing to not seem overly formal.

Like TB said, don't be afraid to spend money; good shoes are an investment, more in line with things like watches and suits than other parts of your wardrobe.

Try buying cheap leather shoes and a polo, tie, and pants this is preferably the best casual for job interviews it is casual but also classy and can be used for jobs business meeting, interviews good luck!

Alright guys thanks for the advice, TB. I meant a pair of shoes I can wear around, yet be able to go to an interview/or date wearing them if I need them. I'm not sure if that clears things up.

If not, I just want some shoes that are great for mostly everything.

Money isn't exactly a problem, I just don't want to empty out my Wallet towards the end of purchasing something. I guess I can bump my price to $110-$120

Does the OP stated he`s/she`s a male/female? If female: I guess these shoes can get you a job (if you know what I mean)...

Seriously. I can't see a situation where i'd be wearing the same shoes for a job interview that i'd also consider wearing on a date, unless the job was very casual (or in the 'creative' sector) or the subject of the date was high-maintenance.

How about rocking up barefoot and claiming that shoes are for the oppressed society which is cultivated and manipulated by media and marketing giants??

When I'm not wearing my DCs or my Etnies, I rock these:

Probably not the most casual pair of boots, they're actually steel-capped safety boots, but they also look kinda sophisticated. I went to my last job interview in them and even went to a wedding in them and nobody gave them a second-glance. Surely there'd be some sharp-looking boots that aren't steel-capped that'd suit your needs?

Otherwise, loafers.
