Shortcut to "mark forums read"

Hi!

I know this has been discussed before, however, I found no solution to this very case. What I am missing is a shortcut to the "mark forums read" link. I usually enter the GTP through "new posts". After I've clicked through the pages, I'd like to mark that I'm done with those threads. The shortest way I found there is to get to the forums overview of categories, where there's a "mark read" link at the bottom of the page. Wouldn't it be helpful to place such a link somewhere else, such as besides the search bar on the top of each page, or the small yellow window with my links on the top right? Or am I just missing the "mark read" link somewhere else?

Double-click the folder icon next to each "unread" forum in the forum index.

Okay, I didn't know that way. But that's even more work. I mean the shortcut is there, why not put it in some more usable places?

Yeah, by default it's nowhere else in the forums I don't think. You could always stick the link in your bookmarks and hit it whenever you like. You'll get sent back to the forum index, though.
