should I buy this game?

im kind of confused what to decide. i rented the game and it has glitches on it. 2nd time i rented it (after a few months) it doesnt have glitches, and it was a good game cos i hav DFP. Im worried about this glitches. I also heard there is another GT4 coming out at the end of the year, called like "visuals" or something. Should I buy that or this one? and is there a thing as GT4 Visuals? Just cant decide :/

GT Vision is going to be on PS3, it was announced at E3. So unless you want to wait another year (at least-probably more like 2), but GT4. It rules.

Buy the game. You will not regret your decision.

And about GT Vision, that's just "a vision of GT5" that was recently revealed at E3. As far as I know, the chances of GT5 being released by the end of the year is the same chance of the apocalypse happening in the next minute (meaning that it will never happen ).

I doubt very much that a "Enhanced" version will come out.Safe to say that PD will most likely be working on GT5 for the PS3.

(PS3 due out next year and GT5 being touted as a 'release title"-----Hmmm PD must be whip crackin the Development teams for that to happen )

Well, there'll probably be a "Greatest Hits" version of GT4, and they might change some things with that.

My understanding is that they are going to be releasing another version of GT4 with full online racing support sometime this year. Like other people have said I think that it may not happen with the recent anouncement of the PS3 with GT in the line of games to be released with the console is released to the public. Needless to say if there is another version released with full online racing support I will be going out to buy it as well as having the current release of GT4.

GT5 coming out at PS3 launch is possible, really. They may not enhance the graphics a whole lot since they are great already, and they supposedly made GT4's game engine easily upgradeable. I would be perfectly happy with the current physics, graphics, and car models if they added 100-200 more cars, a few (5-10) more tracks, and

HEAVILY UPGRADED AI .

I agree, get the game! The online mode was stripped prior to release, and rumor had it for a while that PD would release an online version later this year, but I'm not sure about that anymore, and if you're like me, the online mode doesn't matter anyway, so...

As for GT5/PS3, yeah that's still a little ways off, so I would recommend buying the game if you enjoyed it when you rented it. There are not enough glitches or bugs to ruin the experience IMO.

Dont buy GT4.... if you want to miss the best driving feeling in a game ever! 👍 And yes GT4 has glitches every game has them.
You have a DFP! The only reason to have a DFP is to have GT4!!

Like the others said, I also dont think they will release a GT4 online version, not to speak of GT5 coming out in 2006 on PS3, no way that is gonna happen. 👎

Deffinately buy it, and you have the DFP, man i wish i have one.. What everyone say, if you have DFP you MUST have GT4, it is made especially for GT4 by Logitech, so.. 👍
The driving feel is just exquisit(i sound like that guy from 5th gear )

i want to save my money, and i dont hav a job yet, so ill wait. the last time i got glitch was bad; i had red clock loading things, the game gets stuck when browsing, another red loading, ps2 says load some cleaning disc . it worked fine 2nd time i rented it, mayb because of dfp. and i guess ill wait for the online thing, IF it comes out. thanks anyways

Wait, you have the DFP and you want to save money. Sorry but the DFP costs more than the game. Anyway, if you like cars at all, buy GT4, theres no point waiting unless you literally can't afford it, in that case the decisions already been made and our input isn't going to change you're situation.

lol, my point exactly was "will there be another gt4 version coming out?", because if there is, PD MIGHT fix the glitches and stuff. GT4 prevents me from playing because of that red clock thing and some part of the game where i always get stuck.

GarouGT why dont you borrow the game if you dont want to buy it. You know how long we had to wait for GT4 so the chances of GT visuals comming out without any glitches is very small so my advice to you is to buy the game!

The red clock has nothing to do with the DFP. I'd say that the first disk you rented wasn't clean, or had scratches.

The red clock could represent a problem with your PS2, you might want to clean it. I remember when I got GT4, my PS2 would rarely read GT4 but read everything else fine. When it did read GT4 though, it always froze with the red clock. So if I was you, I'd clean my PS2 and buy GT4

Wait a sec didnt the BMW demos and that have a red clock timing down? never once seen a red clock in gt4 that prevents me from completing stuff in the game. I say from the deepest parts in my Heart Buy the game, Play the game, Love the game. As for other glitches there isnt anything worth worring about (except the MERMORY CARD thing [for get i said that]). Go rent it again then decide afetr that.

And if you already have a DFP, there isn't really any reason not to buy GT4. As for the red clock problem, this was awnsered in a big thread, and several suggestions were made on how to resolve it. Basically the red clock means there's a 'disk read error' (the bain of all 10,000 series PS2 owners). It can be fixed by re-aligning or cleaning the laser, or sending the PS2 to Sony who'll fix it free of charge (not including shipping).

I bought the game on day 1 (22 Feb), had 1 glitch, which was due to a power failure while i played and lost 25% of the game). So I learned my lesson and save it every secod time I play (currently at 92%).
I personally would have given those $49.99 alone for the pleasure to be able to run on the Nuerburgring..........
I DONT work for PD or Sony, but go and get this friggin' game. NOW!
