lol I can't decide if I should take annual leave on 25th Nov (launch day for GT5 in Australia).

How many of you are taking time off?

I already have free time off that day. Move here and you'll get time off too!
 
I'm certainly taking Wednesday the 24th off (release day in USA). Otherwise, we have Thanksgiving Holiday that Thursday, and I have "Black Friday" off anyway. Count Saturday and Sunday, and that'll be 5 full days of playing! Now about that term paper that's due on Monday... :\
 
I have launch day, as the proceeding 4 days, off by default. It's Thanksgiving weekend here in the states and I think the only people that work are the ones in retail and other service industry along with nursing staff.

I wish that this was a problem serious enough to warrant my thought, as that would mean I have virtually no other problems to distract me. Sadly though that is not the case and as such I dont even know when I can afford to buy GT5 let alone arrange time off work just to play it.

Oh the days back when I could arrange my life around video games...
 
Apparently since that's Thanksgiving I will have it off. GT5 is nowhere on my list of things to do though.

lol? you took the time to come onto here and post, I think that's more time than you've got by the sounds of it! What on earth are you even doing on GTplanet??

Cheer up, I work a demanding job, 2 kids and a wife to upkeep, so unless you're Barrak Obama, relax, work hard, play harder. Reason why I ask this in the first place is because I don't have time to myself anymore. Can't remember the last time in 4 years that I've had a "daddy" day...
 
I should be able to rearrange some things to get the full day free for GT5.
 
I have taken the 25th and 26th of November free already... That means GT5 comes on the 24th... So I can play for 4 days straight... YAY!
 
Sorry to detract from your obvious exctiement but it seems like you've already made up your mind. "I haven't had a daddy day in four years." To tell the truth, I can't see the point in threads like these. Why not do what you want to do instead of asking others to decide your life for you especially if you're going to knock people who tell you something you don't want to hear (Small Fryz)? I'm debating whether I should have a cup of coffee right now but, you know what? I'm going to make that decision for myself; not start a thread asking everyone if they think it's a good idea or not.

At the end of the day, it is just a game. And once you've bought the game it will always be yours. You can play the game any day from now until you (or your Playstation) die. If I were to take time off it would be to spend it with my family not a video game.
 
Take it easy mr grumpy pants :crazy: I just am sitting on the fence of deciding to waste an annual leave day to play GT5 and want to know if others are too which will sway me into taking the day off!

Man everyone take a chill pill. FUN IS NOT ALLOWED ON GTP or something...
 
I already have the day off, so no worries for me. Just wonder if gamestation will do a midnight launch, I might be prepared to sacrifice a nights sleep.
 
I have one days holiday left this year so I'm taking that off next week. However I'm taking Monday 21st so I can spend time with my wife.

I'll play with GT evenings and weekends.

I also only have one days holiday left which I will be using on 17th December to go to a Christmas sing along at my sons nursery which I'm really looking forward to :D (genuinely no sarcasm intended)
 
I have had holidays Nov. 03rd to 12th... Didn't just took it because of GT5... It just did fit with my holiday planing...
Nevertheless I was quiet dissapointed because of another delay...

But so I went for "Heavy rain"... Great game with an fantastic atmosphere..WOW!!! I just can recommend all of you to play it at least once...(no, I neither work for the manufacturer nor I get commission on sales...LOL...I just like the game!)

I've been very bad at remembering to use up my holiday days for the last 4 years, so I'm definitely taking them off. Have booked off 24th, 25th and 26th.

Whether I play the game constantly or do other things I'm undecided, but it's a reason to take some time off, so I'm taking it :)
 
Release date was announced too late for me to get annual leave in time. So I'm calling in sick but have organised someone to cover my shift for the day. Not sure what I'm going to do if I can get the game early though.

This, i expect my game to arrive the 24th, latest 25th. And that buy some huge amount of coke (the beverage), stay up until 4 am and waking up the whole building with me stumping on my pedals :dunce:👍:sly::scared:
