As above, I've still got the previous update installed and haven't been online since 2.04 came out. I like playing on my g27, should I upgrade or in light of the glitches that have been reported and reduction in force feedback shall I stay offline and wait it out?

Just update it, and when they fix it problem solved.

just go into your steering wheel options, and reset settings, even if same.
Also, exit game, and reset PS3 after update, then play.

You'll have to do it sooner or later unless you plan on never using you PS3 online again.

If you don't play online, I'd say don't update. I am personally not happy with ffb on my g27 and t500rs after updating to 2.04.

It's the first time since I started GT5 that it's become quite unplayable. The FFB on my T500RS feels really weak especially with FF cars- no grip from the front tires. Other cars- FR and MR just don't feel as connected to the road compared to pre-2.04 patch.

I agree with GTR4T- if you don't do a lot of Online races and play GT5 because you enjoy the driving aspect of the game, DO NOT UPDATE!

BTW, I'm running the T500RS and the FFB has always remain at 10 ever since I got the wheel.

Anyone knows if it's possible to run all the bought DLC if I were to delete GT5 from my PS3 and re-install the new GT5 XL (without updating to the latest patch)? Yes, it's that serious :nervous:- serious enough that I actually compelled me to Tweet Kazunori Yamauchi for the first time, voicing my complete dissatisfaction with the latest patch.

I'd say don't update either!

I was in two minds as to update or not? and I wish I hadn't.

I'm using the DFGT with ffb set to 5, but tried it at 10 and it's so weak I don't enjoy playing anymore :grumpy:

This is the first time i've not enjoyed GT5 after an update 👎

I hope PD fix it sooner rather than later!

Don't fancy deleting game data and re-installing up to 2.03 👎

Thanks guys, I think I'm going to hold off 2.04 for now. Since I got the G27 gt5 has been about the experience of driving more than anything else and with that great b-spec seasonal paying out last month I've got the gt40, 330 miura et al and left me with 18.5 mill in the bank. Only thing I'm really after is the clk-gtr, so I guess it's like the seasonal allowed me to stock up so I could sit it out for the next patch. They'd have to really tempt me out of hiding in the hills with some great DLC or seasonal at the moment.

I updated and haven't noticed any difference. I race with G25.

I guess my wheel is quite weak as it is. I've no idea why they even had to go and change the FFB, felt fine before!

Individually I propose you to upgrade to the newest version of the game in case of occurence of glitches over time... would be hard to run upon other players since they're on a different edition from yours.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. I use a DFGT and I don't have any complaints. Guess you all are just uber elite or something.

Mind you, I don't really do A-spec. I poke around with A-spec very rarely. I only bought the game for the online racing.

Me and you both my friend. I find a specs so incredibly boring. There's nothing like racing a real person bumper to bumper turn for turn (without touching bumpers one time). Man just talking about it makes me want to go race.

I've played GT5 twice since the update... On my son's PS3! I refuse to update, until the almighty PD does something about it. Still love the game, I just feel like I can't enjoy it as much as I did before this latest patch. Is there an ETA for the next update?
