I don't know how some of you guys can go 24Hr in A-Spec mode. I haven't gotten there yet or any other of the endurance races that require you to drive over 5 hours, so i am not sure if there is an option for it. Anyway reason why i bring this up is because one i just don't have enough time to do this with school/work as i am sure so do many other people. Another thing is, if there is no option already, and please correct me if there is, then wouldn't that mean we would have to leave our system on when we want to take brakes or if we happen to need to go somewhere and we are gone for some number of X hours? IDK bout you guys but i am worried about my PS3 overheating or YYLOD on me.
All what i want is someway to save my Endurance Race Progress and be able to turn off my system and turn it back on and resume with that race. Now i think this should only apply endurance and maybe some Championship races (the long ones, allow you to save and quite after a race)
What do you guys think?

Also been driving the F1 for a while in the first endurance race and i swear i am beginning to smell burnt rubber for every time i burnout. 1Hour and 41 Min id doable but 24hours? It isn't the fact that it 24Hour, just the fact that it has to be nonstop for my system, and like i said i worry for it.

SideNote; I think they should add a "Are you sure you want to Restart" option right after restart, accidently hit it in my endurance race just now, luckily it was just 4th lap.

Yes, for the simple fact of the matter one driver doesn't do 24 hours in real life. Surely Kaz the supposed racing enthusiast knows this.

Comments like that aren't needed, they make the post come across as very childish.

To the OP, yes, I would like a save option in 24 hour races, simply because I don't have the time to run 24 hour races in one sitting. Yeah, it isn't realistic to save during an endurance race, bit it also isn't realistic to have one driver do the whole race either.

I know some try and argue that it takes the "special" feeling away from the race, but just because the option is there doesn't mean it has to be used. If someone wants to do a 24hr. race in one sitting, then by all means, have at it, but let others who want to experience it, but don't have the time, have our ways as well.

I try and look at both sides of the argument, but I honestly can't see one valid argument as to why we shouldn't be able to save. Or at least let Bob take over for a while, like GT4.

GT4 not only had the ability to save progress but the ability to use your b-spec drivers for them, so yes i would would love to see a return to the gt4 level of quality in game design and add a save feature at the very lest.

I just don't have the time, but would still love to complete these challenges. I mean 24 hours straight vs. 24 hours using a save state is still going to end up being 24 hours no matter how you look at it. And they should just make it so that this is the only thing you can do once you start GT5 until you finish or retire from the race. Plus if they are worry about copy and reuse and such, they should just make it a separate and lock save.

Well of course it is needed. I mean not only does it not happen in real life (1 guy driving for 24h), its just impractical from the video gaming side. And like you said, people like me with older PS3 would have to risk over heating to keep it going all night.
