I am sick of this. Firstly I lose my DENSO SC430 because someone claimed they had a Jaguar XJ113, and then the same happens to my Viper ACR when the other person claimed they would send me a FGT. Really, if this continues to happen I must just have to name and shame them...

1) Back up your data before sending.

2) Give them a bit of time, just in case.

3) Name & shame away. There's no room for scammers.

How dumb do you have to be to think that either trades would even be close to equal?

You need to name and shame them to avoid anyone else getting scammed. Also back up your save so the most you will lose is your trade slot and if the person you are trading with doesn't have many posts or a rep on this forum then demand they send first.

The traders reputation thread moves so fast and is so flooded its almost impossible for the average user to check that thread to see if their trader has been shamed.

You can always just search the user's name in the thread.

The mods don't like people accusing people of scamming (even if they undoubtably have) and according to the thread in the marketplace they won't investigate scammers anymore. The only thing you can do is send a complaint to Sony.

I hope in a future update, we get a PROPER trading system so stuff like this doesn't happen. This is only a gifting system after all. Never was is meant to be used for trades.

Someone offered me a Ferrari P4 for my NASCAR, the person had two posts on the site, and they chose to PM me the offer rather than post it in the thread. This obviously looks suspicious, if an offer looks too good to be true, then it probably is.

If you suspect one is dodgy, ask them to trade to you first. If you are a reputable trader, most people would not kick up a fuss, unless they want to scam you. If they kick up a fuss, walk away.

It explicitly states on post #1 on the trader's reputation thread is for positive and neutral feed back only. Imagine the chaos if negative feedback were posted and you get flame wars going on between trading partners - nice way to get a thread locked.

I'll gladly send you a new ACR and XJ13 if you really want them.

I don't have the other two cars though.

If i was you do as i do trade with people you have known for a while on GTP planet or your PSN friend list thats all i do and not been scammed yet.

I can manage an FGT (Blue, Orange or Green/Whte/Red) and the DENSO SC430. Just send me a Friend Request.

You only lost SC430 and ACR, I lost an Escudo :guilty:

I don't even slightly see the point of naming and shaming a person online. How's that different from online abuse? How exactly do you verify that the named person did in fact engage in dishonest behaviour?

Just imagine you yourself suddenly being named in one of those threads accusing you of fraudulent trades, cheating, using exploits, love punting others off track etc - all without your knowledge.

It is most unfair to those without a right to defend themselves.

You lost a digital car that wasn't worth anything tangible, big deal.

Either learn to back up your saves or just flat out refuse to send your car first, problem solved.
