Yeah, I have a shot from just off the end of the "lead" car's left bumper just to give another angle on it (not as good as the side view, though), but it turned out blurrier than I wanted (the lead car is nice and blurry, but my car was supposed to look about as clean as the above one I posted)...if I can't recreate it, then I may just post what I have (perhaps resized to kinda hide the "yucky" blurring ).
What you don't see in the pic, is that I'm actually about to blow the doors off the other GT40, heh. (the second pic is exiting the carousel at infineon, and the first is me exiting the following hairpin and the other gt40 isn't even in frame).
3 more pics for now...I'll post some more later tonight once I can upload them. These are of me racing the Xanavi GT-R with Stage 4 Turbo and R3 tires (had no money for R2's at the time lol). Hard to resist taking lots of pics like the first one...I just really like how well that sort of shot recreates the intensity of the race. I may post a slightly different angle of the same shot later...
Oh, and I will confess that I usually don't drift intentionally. I'll approach a corner a bit too wide, catch a rear tire in the grass when I cut into the turn, and end up taking it sideways. Not that I don't keep it under control, though...it just wasn't deliberate to begin with
very nice start to ur gallery man. i love the fact that u dont center all ur shots and that u play around with the camera a little to get different angles, yeah it really does show and it really does make a difference 👍 i like the "grass slide" skyline shot. personally, i think itll look great if u cropped the top off alittle to make the shot feel wider, just my 2 cents. keep it up man 👍
Yeah, I try to look for interesting/different angles, etc...which means I don't take a lot of pictures, and I'll go through an entire replay for as little as one shot (it just happens that the three GT-R pics I posted are all at different tracks: Fuji, the Nur, and Infineon). I need to take more shots (especially single car shots that don't involve drifting), though, so I've started looking through other galleries for ideas...I really don't have much of an eye for photography at all...I just like cars
I keep all my pics on a photobucket account and use imageshack for thumbnails...if I just use imageshack, I have the same problems. I think my problem is that we have a couple trees blocking our wireless signal (tower ~5 miles away). Just need to get around to cutting at least one of them down...
I hope to at least be able to upload some pics later...currently have around 18 pics that I'll probably post. A couple GT40 and Xanavi GT-R pics to go with the others and several V-spec II N1 and '05 Mustang GT pics (ok, I admit it...I'm a Ford and Nissan nut ). I'll probably have more if I get bored...and I get bored really fast...
Still no closer to posting any more pics, but I've started touching them up a bit with IrfanView...I've actually had it for a while, but I only got it to convert screenshots from another game into jpeg's...didn't even bother to look and see what else you could do with it
I'm not on a lan (our actual connection is wireless broadband)...which is why I pointed out that the tower is 5 miles away Either our receiver has to be moved to a higher point (we'd need hundreds of feet of cable and somebody willing to install it on top of a harvestore silo, lol) or at least one of the trees has to be cut down...the latter would be easy enough, but my dad would have to do it, and it's like he's oblivious to how horrible our connection is...hopefully it'll interfere enough with his work that he'll finally get off his butt and do it (that's how we got him to get off dialup, but our connection is worse than dialup right now...and he doesn't complain).
Nope ....but I do have a bunch of pics saved up (compared to what I've posted lol). A couple of them are particularly good, and I can't stop staring at my 05 Mustang pics (one in particular....dare I say as good as my "famed" dual GT40's*??? perhaps...). I love how well it takes pictures (even tried 4 different colors until I found the right one)
* I've slightly edited it (a bit sharper, so the cars look that much nicer) along with all my other posted pics, and I'll repost those over the originals whenever I can
I had several more GT-R N1 pics, but they weren't that great, so I decided not to add them. The '05 Mustang has the following mods: R2 tires, stage 3 weight reduction, carbon driveshaft, port polish, racing chip, engine balancing, sport suspension, and Cobra R rims. The GT-R is stock except for stage 3 weight reduction, carbon driveshaft, and R2 tires.
The pic with the white NSX is my interpretation of the stealth theme from a recent photo competition. The last pic was one I wanted to enter in the UK vs GER photo comp...not that I'd win or anything, but I wanted to try some different stuff.
edit: whoa, didn't notice that pb resized a few of my pics...not really a big deal, I guess...
i love the angles on these shots man, especially on the 3rd and 8th shot, the skyline shot is really cool and the stealth shot is really good, i really like the contrast and the monochrome on it, very cool 👍
