I'm kinda curious about if anyone knows this- how exactly does one go about getting chrome paints? I can see the appeal of them, but I have no idea how to get them.

I think you get them randomly as a prize for collecting every 10 cars. All I've got is matte paints so far.

They seem to be randomly awarded during certain parts of the game. I have heard you get a different paint for every 30 cars added to your garage, and eventually, you can get a chrome. It seems prety random though. The only other way is to try and do a trade with someone in the marketplace of these forums. That could be costly though. Personally, I will just wait until I get one through normal gameplay.

Either receive chrome chip every 30 or so cars, or trade from someone. They can't be very hard to get these days.

I've only received one chrome paint chip, and that was for completing the go-karts series.
