Today was MotoGP Practice and I noticed that on the entry to the Hanger Straight, there is a new slower corner for the MotoGP bikes, so I was wondering, will the F1 use the Tighter or faster entry to the straight? The old exit from the corner before the strasight is still there but will they use it??

Chapel? It will be the faster one, the GT1 races were held on the faster corner. The slower corner is just for the bikes I think, as they have different safety needs to the cars.

Yeah I'm there everyday this weekend and I think I heard on the PA system that it was just for the bikes, despite this they were still doing 193mph on the speed trap on the Hangar straight.

I don't know why everyone got so worked up about this. Back when the plans were released, everyone was up in arms about it. I'm not just talking about here, I mean the idiots over at Autosport (who violently opposed any change to the circuit that got rid of Bridge despite the fact that Brdieg, like Eau Rouge, lost any sembalance of challenge years ago) and a couple of blogs, mostly. Why do people automatically assume the worst here? The BRDC might be more concerned about the history of the British Grand Prix than the future of it, but they're still a group of racing drivers. They know what it takes to make a good circuit.

And a quick check of any literature related to the changes (mostly reports on it) would have revealed that the changes to Chapel were only ever for the bikes.
