Yeah that was an awesome race! Congrats camel! 1.4 secs between 1st and 3rd. That's just crazy.

I had some of the best battling, especially in the 2nd half, that I have had in a long time! It was good to finally have a proper battle with @SGETI, @Stanc03, and @mexxifrieboy.

I apologize @Eh Team, I was the jerk who made it three-wide into Corvette corner after the re-start. It was a little optimistic of me to say the least .

OH yea bro deff kept the mclaren honest last night. Lol. I'm mad I never got any practice in so ima make sure next week I'll show up with car that can battle its way to the top

I had one spin-out and I didn't shut my radiator, I'm wondering if that makes a difference on my speed outcome? But it was a great race, I caught the back of the pack right at the greenlight flag and I believe I caught @CB_racer napping and made a quick pass.
I would say more confused than napping, wasn't sure if the green, green, green was a test or @Stanc03 being funny..:confused: :lol:

Our battle for 12th was great!! The last pass took a little paint from your door but I hope it wasn't too bad..

Good fun race overall!!

Oh yeah great battle but I think you could've of passed me anytime, I couldn't figure out where that speed came from when you did.

Great race last night! Thanks to all for coming out, loved hearing about the battle between @The__Camel @mexxifrieboy @HazardLvL4 @Stanc03 and @SGETI . Too bad I couldn't SEE it because, well, Aston gonna Aston. Speaking of the top 3, get me your weather picks! Which brings me to a question.

I don't yet have a super-solid plan for this next Tuesday, which should be the start of a new 3 week series. Do you want to bump up these other Enduros and do Watkins Glen next week? Or keep the schedule with roughly 1 race a month for this series? Either way I'm going to shove a few 3-week series between them, just haven't had a lot of time to flesh them out.

Let me know!!

You can take me off the entry list.

Ok man, sorry to lose you. Post up if you feel like racing again. All the best.

I wouldn't mind running it. But if you come up with a really good 3 week series I might wanna run that too lol. I just don't wanna abuse all the fun we've been having in Enduro Series

That's the thing right? Awaiting a few more opinions..

I may but we'll see. I'm two years behind on tuning know-how for this game. Being on console makes it impossible to download good setups to study and edit to fit my driving style. I currently see myself as a back marker in this series. Thanks for having me.
Only way to get faster is to race with faster people.

Speed isn't the issue. It's tuning experience in the game. No way to catch up, no way to download tunes for specific car/track combos on PS4 like players can on PC. To my understanding, it's a licensing issue and the leaderboards can't be filtered through as they can on PC. Stopped playing NASCAR Heat Evolution 2 for the same reason, practically have to be a racing engineer to tune a car in that game...it's almost like iRacing where real engineers do setups and tunes for the professional sim teams.

I'm no set-up guy whatsoever but I make do.... I've started watching this guy Chris Haye and it's given me insight into what I need to do.

To be 100% honest the "fast guys" are not setup guru's either. I mean sure we know generally what we are doing and what to expect out of the car, but I am no race engineer. Now I won't lie, I have watched and read just about everything there is regarding sim racing setups. All that being said though, you don't need to do all that to be competitive. Really, I would recommend picking either of the PCars 2 provided "Stable or Loose" setups and figuring out which one you like better. Once you pick one of those then you can use it as a baseline to begin making changes, if needed. Focus more on being able to run 90 minutes without a mistake, protecting your tires, and being on point with the pit strategy. That alone accounts for 80% probability of a strong finishing position.

All that being said, if you back out now, then you will never catch up on tuning knowledge with this game. Not like PCars 3, or whatever will be any different. Plus if you ever move over to iRacing or AC / ACC it will be the same issue, you said that yourself. All I can say is I hate to see guys throw in the towel and not stick with it. PCars 2 is a difficult game, it is far more difficult than GTSport. This is due to a multitude of reasons some good, some not. I have always equated this game to balancing on a knife edge, but when you get it right it is very rewarding.

Lastly, the GT3 class isn't the best class to learn on in PCars 2. That is mainly down to the tire. The tires for the GT3 cars are very sensitive to environmental conditions. You can literally feel when the hards turn off, or the softs begin to overheat. When the hards turn off I don't care how good your setup is, the car is going to become extremely twitchy. When the softs overheat, again setup doesn't matter, they will begin to understeer like the Titanic. Getting the tires right is probably the most important thing in this game, as it should be, cause that is how it is in real racing.

I love you guys. Look at all the helpful stuff you post! Even though you are mostly a bunch of foul-mouthed dutch picnics most of the time, your hearts are in the right place.

So next week, GT3 Series at the Glen or something else?

I really dont know how to tune. I mostly change the down force and my brake pressures and that's about it.

Honestly, I can go either way on this. Just going to say from my own personal situation racing two leagues a week for multiple weeks in a row can become a little much with other life responsibilities. But, if you the majority wants to continue to Watkins next week, I will be there to bring the fight to the GTR's again.

If we haven't decided yet what we are running can I suggest we run a series with no tuning allowed and potentionally use it to test a few no tuning series. Not gonna lie I completely agree with @QTip8329Wags on this one. One of the main reasons why I sucked so much at road America was because I had no tune in the car and had zero practice so I had no idea were I should put the car. I know me and @HazardLvL4 has had a bunch of chats on that
