I'm going to drive the oreca 03. Where is the race?
 
Ok updated again, trying to keep this on the current page for reference. @HazardLvL4 and @Seth Evans are the reserves, you guys are welcome to join for the practice races tonight and tomorrow. We'll have to play it close to the event to see if everyone else can make it. I'll keep you up on it if those Undecided could pipe up and let us know if they plan on attending.

@sgohsixthree, what cars can I choose from? Is car class selection based on a Group A (Fast Guy), Group B (Slow Guy), type of system?

Not fast guy/slow guy, more fast car / slow car. Depending on the race there will be an A and B class to choose from. Over the course of the series, you can only use 4 A's or 4 B's. Of course that pool gets smaller the more races we do. So you can choose if you want A (LMP2) or B (GTE) for this race, but it will affect your choices for later races should you be able to join.

Had a great practice last night. Well I did, Mike and Colts were busy being Mike and Colts and took out the rest of the field so I won in a Vette outright.:lol:

But I got great numbers to set that car up for the race. I’ll probably hop in an LMP tonight and see how that feels.

Edit here are the benchmarks to shoot for. I’d say the pros are about 5-10 Seconds faster than us.

Welcome to the next SRM Enduro Series! This series will be based on real life racing series, when and where they take place. It will loosely follow the schedules of the World Endurance Championship, IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship, 24H Series, and Intercontinental GT Challenge.

The series will have 8 total races, with each race having 2 classes Group A & B:

Over the course of the series, you will be able to use a maximum of FOUR Group A & Group B makes. You may choose any make from the available list of vehicles you wish and will not be forced to stay in the same make for subsequent races. One overall winner of the SRM World Enduro Series will be crowned.

Races will be 1 Hour 30 Minutes in length. There are TWO important changes to regulations over past races;​
  1. PERFORMANCE IMPACTING DAMAGE! Don't freak out, no matter how much you might crash your car, you will NOT be auto DQed, you will be able to continue the race. This is NOT FULL DAMAGE! So drive to the pits and repair your car.​
  2. YELLOW FLAGS / DAMAGED CAR BECOMES SAFETY CAR! If you crash to the point where you cannot get top speed or control your car safely, you may choose to become the safety car. Using game chat, please call out "SAFETY CAR" or "YELLOW" to make others aware you are driving slowly on track. All vehicles may pass and race as normal until the overall race leader is behind the crashed/safety car. Once the leader catches the safety car, they and the rest of the field must slow and follow the safety car until the safety car can enter the pitlane. No passing or overtakes of any kind are allowed until the safety car exits the track to the pitlane.​
I have a feeling these might greatly effect the finishing order and play into pit strategies. If its universally hated, it might be revoked,
but it is something I want to at least try. At the very least you guys all quit and delete me from your friends list.:lol:

Mine downloaded in 15 minutes this morning.

Looks like we have a better idea of how the race tomorrow might line up. Might have messed up the vehicle picks below, trying to work from memory, but as long as you are in the right class thats what matters, of course you can still switch, but look how nice and even it is!

As it stands, I have heard from everyone on the list, and they are attending. Of course, things can change the day of the race, so let me know ASAP if you can't make it. I would like to have all drivers be in the lobby no later than 8:00PM EST. Of course earlier is better to avoid connection issues. If we are not full by 8:10PM EST then I'll invite reserves in order below. Reserves, feel free to setup your own lobby and practice, because if you get in, you'll have 20Mins to set a time.

Qualifying will open at 7:00PM EST, instead of the normal 7:30 EST.

Round 2 of the SRM World Enduro Series is upon us! We’ve had great success so far, and tonight will be a full roster of drivers. Classes are split 50/50 and are set to have great racing for an hour and a half.

Lobby will open a 1/2 Hour earlier to allow for the full room and longer lap times.

I’m not expecting more than one lapping of the GTEs but could be wrong. The cars are not super different, but the LMPs will probably have to make an extra pit for fuel.

Triple check your strategies, remember a random weather slot and Performance Impacting damage is still on, if you’re wrecked out with a way to go to the finish, call a yellow. Almost had one during the first practice race, so be aware that is an option.

Just to confirm how the weather works on "random". The first random could be rain, the second random could be sunny?
Probably covered 189 times but ya know.

Yup!

For the Nurb race it was Heavy Rain (or maybe Thunderstorm) and then Fog. Practice races was Heavy Fog and Overcast in race 1 then Clear and Heavy Cloud in race 2.
