Sim racing with my DFGT: Leo Bodnar adapter for the pedals, worth it?

Hi people,

I'm thinking of getting into PC sim racing using my slightly modded DFGT. It has Gran Turgismo paddles and the bungee cord mod on the pedals. Eventually I'm thinking of buying a separate shifter and Clubsport pedals, but that's another story.

My question to you is: Is the increased resolution from the Leo Bodnar cable worth it enough so that instead of using them directly plugged in on my DFGT and using them with the adapter I'll get better performance out of them?

I have no idea but probably not, no. I'm pretty sure the Leo Bodnar pedal connector (if that's the cable you're referring to) is intended for people who want to connect Logitech pedals without a Logitech wheel, so if you're using a Logitech wheel you might as well save a USB port and some cash. I don't know what the Logitech resolution is, but even if it's 512 steps (I'd put money on it being 1024 steps, though) that's still more than you'll ever need, as far as I'm concerned.

So, although I've never used a Leo Bodnar connector, I'm sure you'll notice no benefit.
 
No, actually that adapter will allow you to connect Club Sports, G25/G27 pedals to your DFGT. Awesome tool if you just want pedals.

As for difference, you won't feel it.

For the sake of people who might not know, the above isn't true. At all.

The Leo Bodnar adapter lets you connect G25, G27, DFP or DFGT pedals via USB to your computer, for stand-alone use. It does absolutely nothing to the Clubsports. The connector won't even fit.

Thanks for the feedback, neema! I'm thinking of purchasing it for the added benefit of using the pedals without the wheel... for instance, I have a DFP and DFGT, I could use both pedal sets and finally have a (poor man's) clutch.
