I have recently taken heed to some setups posted in these forums, ie Cudaman's FC, and found that when i try to drift i end up sliding into the outside of the road. I usually enter corners at deep forest at 3rd gear....am i doing something wrong or am i simply going too fast. The drift in the clips at this site though seem to be drifting at +90km/h....

Same here... I'd rather drift with Super Hard Tires!!
It's easyer to drift with Sim tyres then Super Hard... but I think you'll have to learn to drift with it!

have drifted with with Mediums on the rear and super softs on the front, that can work pretty well

I think this thread should be in the Drifters only bit

ohh for the drift setup that cudaman gave, i know it drift's really slow but i have a setup for a SPOON S2000 and it drift's fast enough threw big turns like on apricot i never go lower then 70 mph except for one place ( the small s turn ) and if you need settings tell and i will post them

driftin isn't necessarily supposed to go fast...most drifts in my FC usually go 60 mph or lower, depending on the turn. The only exception is my elise.....95 mph driftin on tokyo lol

there are too many variables in settings and track to determine that. You need to practice on your own to figure out the best ways to drift a corner
