Got a question about the steering settings in gt3, thought maybe someone could help. I notice that the "simulation" setting allows for virtually no counter-steer past a very slight angle (during "drifts", intentional or not). This exact same kind of steering feel is present in the pro-simulation driving mode of Toca Race driver 2. It doesnt allow for any countersteering really either in this mode. Ive heard people say that the "simulation" setting is unrealistic. Im not at all saying their wrong about the simulation steering setting being unrealistic, I
haven't a clue what the most realistic mode is. Im just confused as to
why polyphony dig. and codemasters, would put these "super-sim" modes in
their games when they (supposedly) aren't accurate simulations. I mean, it just seems ridiculous to accuse poly digital of inaccurate simulation. Is there some factor in real life driving that would inhibit full opposite lock? Why else would it be like that in SIM mode?! Maybe if you counter-steered that hard in real life you'd damage the steering or something?? I have no idea. Just an off the wall guess.
On the other hand, it seems near impossible for the cars I see in real drift videos to do the things they do if they handle in real life like the cars in gt3 or toca 2 do
in their respective "super-sim" modes.(i.e. simulation steering, pro-simulation modes)
If anyone has any info to help clarify this subject for me id appreciate it.
Thanks alot for the help.
