Which of the latest and upcoming racinggames do you think that it deserves the title "Racing simulator of the year" ?

Please compare the games with at least the following points:
- graphics
- Physics
- Sound
- (gameplay)
- X-factor

GTR no doubt!!
I played it at the Gothemburg Auto Show and man even thoug it was a demo/beta it kicked some serious ass...those laps around Spa was something else...:D
 
I'm gonna have to have a look into GTR, it's looking kick ass from everyone's posts. Btw, go the images, uber cool racers in GTR, decent machines in DTM, boring boxes with wheels for GT4. w00t.

My vote will stick with GT4. Regardless of the quality of other racing games, or even how much fun they are, none have the longevity of GT. Sure, NFSU was far more fun and arcadey, incorporated upgrades and mods nicely, but even 112 challenges ran thin. Le Mans had me bored after winning everything in a matter of days, even a real 24 hour race isn't that special. Only GT keeps me coming back for 3 years to win everything, GT4 will be no different I'll wager.
 
its a real car patched onto a GT4 screenshot. Don't remember who did it.

Doesn't protray the game properly...
 
How could you put GT4 in there if the game hasnt even been released yet, and yea how could you pick anyone of the 3 if you havent even played two of them yet, "GT4 and GTR" So in conclusion you can't base it on physics, gameplay or anything the only thing you could base it on is the graphics nothing else, So my answer to this is...... Not enough info to make a decision....
 
I were at the Gothenburg autoshow too ( because I live there), but I never tried the GTR demo which I seriously regret.
It's looking great.

Well Demos things could change alot within when the demo came out til the release of the final game, look at GT4, GT4P came out a few months back and were still proably 6months away from the final game so yes I still stand by my opinion that you cant judge a game by its demo you could only judge it by the "official" game.. so yes not enough info at this time to make a decision..

It's a race driver 2 shot. It's not a real car either, it's the Shelby Cobra concept but it's been photoshopped and made to look like a coupe, I can't remeber if the original car is a Viper or an Aston though.

As for simulator of the year, it has to be GTR, GT4 wil no doubt be a better game in the long run but GTR is a hard core sim, GT4:P is not, it's a sim but it's like driving with traction control on even when you've turned it off, it's too hard to lose control in any GT game.
 
People whatever comes out nothing will be like the Real Driving Simulator GT4.Like other members already said no other game will ever catch the long playing times of gt4.Plus with all the other visual breakthroughs!!

It's not GT4 either it's aphotoshop from a Race driver 2 screen.
