single race: Le Mans 24 hours race(offline race)

Hello for all!

Yes here the people in can decide the rules. Me and one Viktor will run the race and after all has decided we will put up the final rules,entry form and cars what you can drive but still all questions and talks are free already to ask. Here are some questions we would like to get answers.(in this are just our thoughts so please vote for that what would be best to you)

1. We thinked a team play racing first but is a race better to run as team racing or just as a single player?

2. (If you picked a team mode just answer then) What you think would be good number for a team mode of drivers?? 2 or 3 drivers per team.(We thinked 3 in maxinum and 2 in mininum)

3. How many hours would be good for the driving period for a single driver?? 1,2,3 or even 4... (We thinked 2). !!!!!!!!!! please notice that a period of one driver will decide the race lenght.

4. Will the lap by counted to standings if you enter to your final lap just before time of your stint has got over like in time of 2h 59 mins 58 seconds so will a next full lap will still be counted. (we had both thoughts)

5. What you think of entry numbers of one team? unlimited,limited to 2 overall or limited to one per class. (After a little thinking limited to 1 per class was my fav but you can still vote).

6.Not a big one but a fictional team names or driving under the name of Nissan motorsport example??

7. What you think of race schedule that it will include 2 free practises,a qualifying session and a race? and to idea of how more back of the grid you are or your team is after qualifying that will give some extra seconds...

8. Would you be intrested to take part of the race?? (its sure both of us,me and Viktor are up)

Here was some questions,I hope this great race will get some attention and a lot of talk that us can put up this race up to all of you.

ps for all: Didnt find right area for this so putted it up to short serie area and yes I writed 24 hours race but its will be shorter for sure.
 
sounds good, theres a le mans 24 hour race in the spot race forum though, maybe if it were a different track like nurburgring or suzuka or sumthing.

Thanks to answer! I have really got already intrest for this in some other forums as this isnt the only forum where I have posted this up,I dont know is this area only for GTplanet races..

What comes to me and other forum race I wasnt even heard to another forum race,there are always double races in different tracks and specially in famous ones. What comes to Nurburgring I already know that for it is already even an endurance serie and Suzuka is a nice track and one of the real looking tracks in the game but I dont see intrest in it so didnt even try.

I have always been a big Le Mans fan and when I post a car list of the cars you can race in Le Mans I think it will make a nice race. Also rules after I get some answers will be posted soon as I am going to keep this like last year. I run a Le Mans race last year with one computer program and it was a big success so thought its would be nice to get people by being up in race themselves. BTW the race dont will be a 24 hours race for sure,its will be a lot smaller.
 
ok, sounds very cool, and you have done it before so it seems it will be well organised, im definatly interested, let me know on when its gonna start and everything

thanks,I will let it know when all is ok. I think it will take couple days only anymore when all is fixed. I dont know how people will take this if we put it to team racing thing. The team racing thing will put a lower entry list by cars but I think its would be nice for the clans who could finally be in the same team and not still driving against team members.

Lets see how this will start and maybe some changes will also come up.
 
oh and I forget all promotion of my race is free in other forums if we could get more people by that way. I am sorry for saying this as I dont really remember forum rules well. If this message is out of question,moderators or admin can take it off.
 
Now here comes some facts and car list what cars you can pick for the race! So its an offline race and the dates of the 2 free practises,the qualifying date and the race date will be published later. We need some entrants to get for a race a go! You can post your entrants to wrc3champ@yahoo.com by entry form witch is up soon! Like I said the race dont take 24 hours and its a 4 h 30 minutes race! With 3 drivers team each driver of the team will drive 1 h 30 minutes session and with 2 drivers team its will be 2 h 15 minutes per driver. Only the full laps will be counted for the results. As this is an offline race do not cheat by any way. Also the cars needs to be totally normal so them needs to be in original shape,also NO SETUPS. In sessions tyres to racing medium-racing super hard are only possible to use. We wish good luck for the race and I wish many would take part. This race was specially done for the racing clans who would finally team up together instead driving against own team members. Also I wish each team would have a manager who would take care of the team business and send the times of the team drivers at one form(submitting cheet will need to be done still). This is only for that I should look a team performances and look the drivers standings. How well you are in the grid will see that will your team get time penalty or not! Available cars to pick for the race will come soon!

That is the entry form, I know it is a .jpg file but all you have to do is save the picture (right-click and save picture as) then open it in wither "Paint" or "Adobe" or any other picture program. Then just choose the Text tool in the toolbar of the program and fill in the blanks. Then you send the entry form to wrc3champ@yahoo.com
I hope that we get a lot of entries and that the race will be a good and exciting one :)
 
I wish more intrest for the race! Camoon, I know its will be a great fun so clans wake up and join for the race.
 
The next week will be a first test session of the race of Le Mans and its will be runned as a single driver session as I want to see will to team thing come anything. All who wants to can be in.

-Send the quickest time what you done in Le Sarthe 1 in free run(5cr) in gran turismo mode.
-The submission of the times are opening at 9th of May-15th of May
-I hope you will do it in a car what you have thinked to drive in the race.
-When submitting times to me by PM please send put up your quickest time,your driver name,car and nationality.
-The cars must be to the list and needs to be in totally normal condition(no hybrids,no NOS,no setups,no tuning)
 
in Sunday is a final day to send your test session times. All who wants to can send them to me but I also wish an entry to the race.
 
Now starting at next week(30th of May-4th June) the qualifying session will start so its not a practise session like I said earlier! So please send me your 3 BEST LAPS. You can send me your qualifying times for the e-mail address( wrc3champ@yahoo.com ) or by PM.Send the details to me just like you done earlier(name,car,country,lap and the same with other category times). Here is the earlier practise session results. I dont say the times as someone could use the times for qualifying.

qualifying is up and you can still enter if you want to but do it when you are sending your qualifying times.

Its still up and now I will announce the race! As we dont have much entries the race time has been dropped to 1 hour(so if you do in each class) your Le Mans race in overall by one player can be 5 hours. QL Results!!(no times again as I will publish the whole practise and QL times in final race results+raport:

Racer69 takes the pole with Pescaloro!! Racer69: s hard lap over the Le Sarthe circuit was enable to take the pole after in final seconds of the qualifying he nearly taked P.Vuko and Mixa out of the front row! In GT1 class Jmixa taked pretty easy pole and the 2nd place gone to Tom Cole in his Corvette. In GT2 class P.Vuko and only entry in GT2 class taked a pole and in touring class it was JLS who is also only entry taked a pole by easy drive. Here are the final standings of the QL session and the corner penalties!

1st row (1st and 2nd) (-5 corners to the start so its the tertre rouge corner)
2nd row (3rd and 4th) (-4 corners so its the esses)
3rd row (5th and 6th) (-3 or 2 corners to Dunlop Curve)
4th row (7th and 8th) (to half way of the main straight)
5th row (9th and 10th) (+-0 the start line)
6th row and others (+ the final corners before main straight)

Please run it in arcade mode and remember that the race is up! The details are:

mode: arcade single race
race time: 1 hour (put 50 laps example to the limit,I think 1 hour race dont take 50 laps,I dont know can you select to somewhere a hour for the race time,just watch a clock when there is 1 hour book the results and send to me how many laps you done,what part of the track you stayed and your car,name and nationality. Quickest lap isnt so nessessary)
