I just came across this while looking through a list of 2013 release titles. Has anyone heard anything about this game? It looks very interesting and is hopefully going to be released this month.

In Sir, You Are Being Hunted, players will have to survive from 'Hunters' (robots dressed as Victorian gentlemen) who are trying to track down and kill them, whilst attempting to escape from an island. Players will be required to scavenge towns and villages for items such as food and weapons to help them survive.

The island played on is procedurally generated, meaning that every playthrough will generate a different landscape.

YES! I can't wait. I kind of wish I'd Kickstarted it for early access but I can't really justify pre-ordering anything any more. Jim Rossignol - the guy running Big Robot (the developer) - also started Rock Paper Shotgun which is my favourite PC gaming 'news' site so maybe I'm a bit biased, I don't know. But it does look fantastic so it'll probably be justified bias.

Have you find a more accurate release date for it? All I can find is July some time.
 
I have not, I believe Jim said they're going to release it only when it's done. He's given no indication of when that might be in any of the articles posted on RPS, though.

I really like the fact that you can select your gender at the start and if you choose to be female, the game turns into Madam, You Are Being Hunted instead, that's a really nice touch.
 
Did you donate? I didn't and still haven't, I know Jim said the Kickstarter backers would be getting their builds before other forms of backers so I've just been waiting really. If I don't get too far into my £30 budget in this Steam sale I think I'll get round to donating.
 
Oh yeah, I missed that bit in the OP... Still, exciting times, those screenshots look great. I don't usually go for big survival games like this because they're usually either Minecraft, which gets a bit dull as you don't really have much incentive, or they're like DayZ where the actual threat isn't the problem, it's other players.

It would appear that it's just you and me though, no one else seems bothered... I guess the lack of multiplayer at launch might be a killer for some. But it'll be there after release, so.
 
The Alpha was released today. I don't know when the full release will be but I'm getting impatient!
 
It's out on Steam but I'm for some reason struggling to put my money where my mouth was... I think it's because I don't want to buy it then have to decide what to play between it, Dark Souls, Payday 2, Arma 3, Dead Space 3 and all the other stuff I'm 'currently playing'. In reality it's all Payday 2 at the moment.

Edit: Since it's just you and me here - I've only just noticed your chat message on Battlelog, the one you sent like 8 hours ago. I wasn't ignoring you, honest!
