Is GTPremium a one off payment, or a subscription service?

Perhaps we'll all find out on Monday, when Jordan makes the announcement.

I was never fond of pictures in signatures. That's one of the things that give GTP its smooth look and design distinction from other forums.

A few other forums I go to use vB3 and I absolutely love the futures it has. One thing in particular that I don't think Jordan will be integrating is a type of 'Coolness Meter' or Reputation Points meter. Even though it was available in past releases of vB it wasn't quite as advanced as it is now. For example, if someone came along with only a few reputation points and gave you a negative rep, it wouldn't take away as many points as if someone with more rep points came and gave you a negative. One forum in particular I go to is trying out letting this system stay and so far so good. The reason I don't think Jordan will leave it is for high chance of abuse. Now the prementioned forum stated one thing when they implemented this system, that is if you don't want a bad rating and the such, just disable it. It's worked out very nicely.

And while GTP is down I suggest we all go to racing-line

I don't mind paying a yearly subscription, but aslong as it isn't too much. I also hope you keep many of the features free, but heck that is up to you.
Hail Jordan, King of GTP, Hail!

As I expected, GTPremium has stirred quite a few questions. I can't answer all of them, but I will answer the most important one...no current features will be removed from users who choose not to pay, so don't worry about that. :)

I dont know why but I just saved the banner that says GTP6 6/7/04 you know the blue banner up there.^ Well when I went to save it the file name that automaticly save as was GTP6 TEASER.....teaser? I hope thats slang for promotional ad.

I was just thinking about this, and you know what... I bet we will see this site getting cleaned up a bit with gtp6 in terms of quality from all angles.(although its so nice now. ) ... for real though. :D

With paying members there are tons of new elements about quality control and features.

Then combine those with the new layout/ features for the non-paying members and you get a win - win situation for everyone. 👍

Good luck on this great under-taking jordan.

Maybe you could have done the switch on june 6th instead of june 7th... kind of a funny little coincidence that you are so close to d-day. Technically you could call june 7th d-day for the gtp.

I mean, it has come to represent the first day of an "under-taking" or operation or what ever you want to call it... but yeah.

D-Day for the gtp is june 7th. :D
Let's all hope the gtp will be here for its own 60th anniversary of "D-Day: gtp version 6". ;)

HIGHONLIFE, I named the file "teaser" because it is a teaser containing our new logo and two new fonts that you'll be seeing in the new site.

I was going to release the site on 6/6 but I decided to be better safe than sorry and give myself just one more extra day should something go wrong. :nervous:

It will be a monthly subscription.

Thank you! I was hoping you would do this. :D

Jordan, how much are we going to be paying for GTPremium?

Good question.

Hey Jordan, how about a raffle? 100 people get free subscription for a year? :P

Look, guys, he'll tell us soon enough!

Yes. He isint goning to tell us anymore than what he has said.

A quote from a PM he sent to me.

I'm not releasing any information about the new service other than what I post in the GTP6 thread. Sorry! :)

Question, Will we need to backup our signatures or anything like that?

Sure, ALPHA, save yours on a floppy. :p

I have what I think is a pretty good guess as to what GTP Premium (GTPP!) will be about, just based on what I've observed in other large forums that went hugely upscale, but I won't say it just in case it's actually right. Of course, I could be dead wrong too.

Me excited! :D

Bah, why don't you just buy the thing!

Just kiddin' Giles, just kiddin'. :D I know you love your homemade PHP. :)

I can't wait. I'm gonna host a party. Anyone wanna come over while we wait? I guess not. Haters...

So, when will it jump online to amaze us all?

This whole GTP6 thing with GTPremium sounds really interesting.
A shame I (Street Fighter [banned]) won't be around long enough to see what the hype turns out to be.

GT4, my network adaptor and my Driving Force Pro are already purchased and I had initially planned on GTP being my stomping grounds.

*sigh*

Look, you guys. My ban was justified because I didn't take the warnings seriously, but now that it is gone; I realize how much I miss reading what everyone has to say and responding to them here.

My withdrawl symptoms continue to nag every time I play GT3 and I was banned over 2 months ago.

I'm sure I could've got over losing my reputation as Street Fighter, because I can admit to a bit of an attitude only after it has been brought to my attention. However, the IP ban was merely produced when I made a single, final post with a different account.

That's like Akina86 getting banned, then making one mistake as TruenoOfAkina and having that one strike count as three.

I know I was lucky enough to have a couple strikes negated with warnings, but it was my own error to have ignored them.

I've had several people relay apologies to the mods and the site owner, but to no avail.

This is my final request;

A fresh start upon the freshening of GTPlanet.

If all goes as smoothly as I know it will, and I get that last chance I've been begging for, I have no doubts on becoming a paying member and reknown 1 vs. 1 duelist upon GT4's release.

These were my plans long ago. My desires are as true as my awareness of my errors in the past.

This is the most complete and consistant online community I have ever come across, and I would be honored to return, even as Street Fighter, as to be recognized as the long-term user I once was, and to prove that I can be as upstanding as those above me (*coughderaltacoughcough*).

Please everyone.

I can't demonstrate enough, my will to return that has not dwindled since my departure.

This is my last-ditch-effort to prove myself acceptable.

Should I be denied this request, my persistance will cease.

Thank you all for the 9 months I spent here.

Some of you will not be forgotten.
