So you've been called to duty by the American Government and recruited into a sting operation where you're supposed to pick up some "goods" from a wanted drug lord. But then you're supposed to make a quick get away and deliver the evidence to FBI headquaters!!

You've been shown a selection of cars that you can use to make your get away. They anticipate you might have a high speed chase where you're dodging explosions and stuff like out of the movies or something.

WHICH CAR DO YOU CHOOSE???

2004 Mercury Marauder

1998 Ford Taurus SHO 3.8L V8

1996 Chevrolet Impala SS

2001 Oldsmobile Aurora 4.0

2001 Buick Regal GS 3.8 Supercharged

2007 Dodge Charger RT

And finally... last but not least this thing:

***Disregard the "Ricespotter.com" watermark, this is most definitely not rice and you will be cool driving this thing around. Haters gonna hate. It was most likely developed in Area 51.

One thing to keep in mind is that always after a dangerous high speed chase with criminals, guns, and explosions, the hero always gets out his car with a set of shades on and a black leather jacket and poses for a few frames for the camera and or shocked witnesses who don't know what the hell they just saw but thought it could've been some sort of god or something.

Interesting. I'll grab the Charger because it simply looks badass when running from the cops. :) I hope I don't scratch the paint.

Ooh, ooh, I want the Mercury Marauder!

Aside from having the perfect name, it's big, anonymous, and I love the power and ultra-low-key-yet-epic styling. It just looks like it's brooding. Who knows, maybe they'd mistake it for a Crown Vic and surrender on the spot?

No one would mess with you, that's for sure. And if you got into a crash on your chase you'd win as long as the opposing vehicle wasn't a tractor-trailer or a cement wall...

I choose 2004 Mercury Marauder and 1996 Chevorlet Impala SS best looking and most badass one on the list.
And is this a joke "Ricey Dodge Neon RT - probably has a couple turbos"?

The problem with the marauder is that it isn't a sleeper, people usually know what a Marauder is, plus it is a very heavy car even if it has 300hp, so it's not crazy fast either. If I were to go with a sleeper I would say an SRT-4 neon, which isn't there, but people usually underestimate them, they are very quick, but they are just "a neon" and if you take all the SRT-4 bits off you got yourself quite a sleeper.
EDIT: Also, from that list I picked the SHO because it's still pretty fast and people usually don't know much about it

I´d walk in there and tell them to get their head straight.

Hand me something european for god´s sake.

BMW M3 would do just fine. Any year.

I don't think the Need for Speed story writers are going to enjoy you stealing their next NFS Storyline.

Honestly, I would pick none of those. If anything, I'd pick the Neon, it seems like it would fit well with the drug lords crew.

Personally i would choose a G8 GT. Looks the same as the v6, and handles way better than anything on your list. Plus, it has the LS3 in it. That, or the Magnum SRT8. Station wagons are the ultimate sleepers!

Hmm...while I love the Marauder, I'd have to say I'd pick the Charger, simply because there are so many of them on the road (seriously, they're almost as common around here as those mid-90s Mustangs used to be...!) and half of those are black. If you get ahead of your pursuers and turn a corner, it'd be easy to slip in among traffic unnoticed.

It's also a great car to get out of and pose next to after a car chase

Marauder and Impala are too obvious and will give yourself away immediately. They look too much like police and government agency vehicles. You'll be lucky to last 5 seconds before they pump you full of lead. So none of the above.

The GT actually has the L76 in it. Totally different displacement from the LS3 as well.

It's pretty much between the Oldsmobile Aurora and the Chevy Impala SS, both are fast but not expected to be. I've always like both cars too, the Old more so than the SS.

The Aurora would be my #2 choice. Besides the Mercury and maybe the Charger, it's the only car that I see myself wanting to drive. But I've never really considered them sleepers - they look too slippery and zoomy for that! 👍

The 2001 olds can do 130 on its own.

but the 1995 to 1999 olds can do 140 if you remove the speed limiter.

I've heard they turn pretty well also.

I'm usually a big fan of sleepers but I don't like any of those. Still if I had to choose it would be anything other than the Taurus and the Neon.

The Marauder is the meanest sedan to come from an American company since the old Impala SS. I'd argue it's even meaner than new SRT8s. Not nearly as good, but meaner.

I think the Buick Lucerne with the Northstar tuned to XLR-V spec (~440HP) would make a good sleeper. I mean, who would suspect a Buick, of all things? :sly:

Only problem with that is that the lucerne is fwd

I grew up watching Impala cop cars on World's Scariest Police Chases.... my natural selection would be that... thing's big and looks mighty heavy...

Probably the Charger. Most of the others are lacking in the speed department and while none of them look like handling will be a strong suit, the Charger is unlikely to be the worst!

The Neon is probably the lightest and the fastest, as well as the most in-character, but... FWD for the lose!

If I'm bringing my own car, I'll have a Mercedes-Benz C36/C43 with some nitrous and some thick reinforcements hidden in both bumpers.
