I didnt know so many ppl on GTP could skate. I can do Kickies and 180 flips, shuv-its, usual ****. But my mate can do 180 flip sex-changes which are just crazy, but he likes doing massive (aka 12+) sets of stairs... freak.

Wow, can you say bad resurrected thread? There are Skateboarding threads in the Sport and Fitness section, where they belong. Try there Crayola.

I quit skating because I didn't have time for it. I ride my longboard at the beach though. I want to get a motor cycle helmet and some thick leathers and buy a bmw (yes, bmw) "street carve" for $500. THen i want to find a large windy hill.:trouble:

ur just saying that cause all ur friends are prolly nerds and loners lol.. or u prolly a skater.. in my skoo, the asian skater always gets jumped by all the asians lol

There are two different types of skaters out there.

Poser Loner Skaters - These are the types that cant understand what the difference is between a whaletale board and a modern board. Jump these and make them learn.

Normal - These are the people who know atleast how to do low skill tricks, kickflip, shoveit, 180, etc...
Don't jump these, because they probably have friends.

I skateboard too. I've been skateboarding for about 2 1/2 years now. I have to admit I'm not very good, though. I can only manual, nose manual, and bunny hop (the old school way of ollieing on a skateboard). I like to do old school tricks more than the stuff skateboarders do now. Some of the things people did in skateboarding in the 60s and 70s were pretty cool. Not many people do old school skating tricks today, which is why watching people doing old school tricks and doing them myself is neat. The biggest reason I'm not very good at skateboarding is because I am too scared to try new tricks. I worry that I will get injured, although I have not had a serious injury skateboarding.

O man falling hard is noo fun at all. Still funny as hell when someone else falls tho

I have a really nice skateboard but thats not what i use it for. i use it for skeleton (like luge but face first) . the only reason i did that was because i didnt like not being able to ollie as well so i just changed sports.

I got a new deck just today, its an Expedition-One, Richard Angelides deck. Its very nice, lots of pop not too heavy. I wanted an Element Fibrelight but they cos about $50 more (australian) so it wasnt worth it. Also I can do 180 flips almost everytime now. Best trick landed so far however is kickflip to nose manual while moving (not very fast) or kickflip to Indy (or some other grab) down a five-set.

How old are you? 180 isn't a lot to bench at all. I can bench 200 and I don't workout often at all. What's the deal with that?

Nice Crayola, keep practising. We should see if we can't make a GTP video of all of our skating talents and show up the drift forum. :D Just joking around.

I've been sktaing a bit since my last reply, actually 2 hrs just outside my house. yeh, I got what I think is a hardflip down, like a 180 flip but the opposite direction to what I normally do, took me ages though. Then I was just ollie-ing into different stalls on the gutter, Id do kickflip to whatever but I dont wanna mess my griptape up to much (if I land darkslide style)

i went skating this afternoon, but i only skated to go to the chemist to get cough lozenges. im really not feeling too good today, so i didnt try anythin new and fantastic, just ollie over some gutters and stuff on the way there

I'm sick today as well millencolin. Hmm... I wonder if a flu is going around. I got one heck of a headache and sore throught and what not.

somethin is floatin round gtplanet..... perfect releif from a headcold.... get yourself a coke and a chocolate bar. works a treat

Did that as well. Good to see the remedies are all in good flavor. :D

I don't skate but:

You shut your mouth! Go watch any of the CKY skate scenes and you'll shut up really quick. Same with you "Sunny!"

I'm going to see CKY in March!

Sorry, I'm so excited.

Skateboarding is cool, so are skaters, but I don't have enough time and I guess I'm kinda getting a bit old (16).

I started skating at 17, so you have time. Try it out atleast, you might get addicted. :D

i started out when i was 15..............and theres always time for skating. i have a job, yr 12 school work e.tc and i still have time to skate (but not as much as i did in year 10 i may add. every single weekend)

That justifies jumping them, right? You're going to go far in life buddy.

"Hey, he doesn't have any friends. What should we do?"

"I know, let's jump him!" :dopey:

Somewhat, I fully agree. 1 skateboard makes a true bon-fire.
I think skateboarding is for people who have no lives need to show off how they do tricks. I think they are all wanna-be Tony Hawk's. And the skateboards them selves are just painted under the wood with cheap ass grip tape, and scooter wheels. And that is over $150? Hell no, pure rip off. Screw skateboarding, and the wanna-be's who come with them.

I'm in, I've been skating for 11 years. I skate mostly street, but I can skate ramp too. I used to be sponsored by "Supreme" which is a skate shop in NYC. I miss skating in NY, there's so much to skate, right at your doorstep. ;)
