I recently saw a video of GT4 that came with an Australian Gamepro magazine. On of the in game video's showed a car called a Skyline Coupe.

To me it looks like what Australians have as a Nissan Maxima, but with only two doors. Has anyone got any info on this mystery car, is it a concept or something?

I do believe that is what we in the states call the Infiniti G35 Coupe (Skyline V35 Coupe in Japan).
 
the g35 coupe is based on the 350z . and because the g35 is so popular here in the states the new Skiyline in Japan is based on the G35 I dont know if its a production car yet but it GTC had it as a concept car.
 
The Maxima is not the G35. I thought so too at first, but then I compared the two and they were different.

Both are amazing cars with fresh design.
And btw it's called either Infiniti G35 or Nissan Skyline 350GT ;)
 
Aren't all these cars (Skyline 350GT, Skyline Sedan, 350z, G35 coupe, G35 sedan) all basically based off of the FM platform? They also all share the same motor, except for minor changes in the 350z giving it more power. I think for 2005 these cars are gonna come with 300hp.
These cars are awesome....look like sex on wheels. Too bad there plagued with problems.............
 
I dont care what their names are,it´s still the 2 ugliest japanese cars ever.Only reason the 350Z is popular is The Fast and the Furious movies,and the people who thinks that is soooo coool!.

I think youre on crack......................the FM based cars DID NOT get popular because of F&F......I dont even remember there being a 350z in F&F?????

350z are pure sports cars........there no where near ricer status.
Everyone is entitled to there own opinion about looks but lying about the car isnt gonna prove youre point.

I Agree, neither can match up to any previous skyline or Z in terms of style - the G35ish skyline looks nothing like a skyline with the headlights that go vertical instead of horizontal. Uhhh ugly :yuck:

Your stats state your from Sweden, and that you're old enough to have seen all the crap cars your country is responsible for giving the rest of the world for how many years ?????

And don't try and blame it on Ford or GM, as they're the ones who made Volvo and SAAB turn out more stylish and less boxy cars!

Ugly.... you got to get your black rimmed glasses or eyes checked!

MacGillaZ relax mate, not everybody likes the same car design, I for one don't think the 350Z is an ugly car, but I'm sure that some people may not like the design...

Also can somebody please post a link or a picture of the Nissan Skyline 350GT?

whats not to like about the 350Z styling?
Ive seen 3 of these in the past week and they look stunningly sleek in design.
Theres not much out there to compare with its smooth lines right now.

Uhhh, I think that's more like other there country taking other country's engines, calling them holdens and having the other country buy them back and rebadge them pontiacs. Who are the idiots now? Yeah I know that I'm american but seriously GM, what were you thinking?

Uhhhh......i dont know if this what you meant but..........Aus is "given" motors by GM and they put em in there own cars..... i dont think that gm sells em to holden than buys em back because holdens Owned by GM.......... the only thing shared by GM and Holden are motors/drivetrain. Other than that there 100% Aussie.
Regardless they look nice and are amazing...........there what the camaro/firebirds should've evolved into.

And the new saab 9-2x is........................................A SUBARU!
Too bad Volvo was bought out by ford........they really were a classy brand.
I guess the only PURE luxo brands from germany left are Audi/VW and BMW :dunce:

The 350Z never made an appearence, nor did the car have anything to do with the movie. You're thinking of the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec R34.

How come hardly anyone gives credit to the 4-door version or even the base model. The Nissan Skyline R34. How come man, how come? 👎

I dont think that the coupe is an R35..........i remember reading somewhere that this will be the regular skyline "FM" but a new "GTR" or "R35" is coming out based somewhat on the older GTR chassis.
So this is not a R35 but an "aside" platform.....the "real" R35 will coming eventually.

I dont know how to better explain this its complicated. :dunce:

I guess cause they consider it nothing more than a rwd turbo japanese equivelent to a Chevy Impala. (a badass drifter impala......but an impala non the less.)
 
Well, since there isn't an official R35 nor is one expected until 2007 or 2008, many people have gone around just settling with this as the new R35. It may not be the real thing, but most people have settled with it has the R35 due to the fact a new Skyline isn't expected until 2007 or '08.
 
I see but what i was trying to say is that the "R3x" chassis designation will be reserved only for the Uber l33t High performance version. AKA GTR. the new skylines fall into the FM chassis designation.:)
