Not with the new cars we're coming out with.
You do know the 2007 GT-R will be a hell of a lot more powerful than anything in Japan now don't you. It's not going to be put down as being 276Bhp, it'll be a full blooded 500Bhp+ supercar with handling to match.

Sorry.....It's just that they can't be compared directly in the same class.....they're all great cars, but the purposes they were built fore were vastly different.....

i don't want to say the muscle cars are crap, but why did he come in a Skyline thread and lay down like 10 muscle cars....it's like mixing bananas with onions....
Dont discredit older American cars commonly refered to as "muscle" cars. Back in the days, they just cared about srtraight line speed. Thankgoodness though that not all of us out there with "muscle" cars want to go fast in a straight line. Luckily for people like me, these old hunks of iron can be made to handle, and they handle good, too. We not be able to take on modded Skylines and such, but damn if we dont try to keep up. Seriously, if you ever get a chance, google Pro touring. Not all of us "Muscle" car owners are about straight line performace:)

As for Skylines? I'll take a R31 in black:D

The Skyline R34-GTR shows 23mpg in highway driving, and the z06 gives 28. However, you can only get two people in the z06, and you get four in the Skyline.

Therefore the z06 gives 14mpg per person, whereas the Skyline 11.5 - a much more environmentally friendly car.

That's the logic they use to justify public transportation buses. Sure, compared to a car they guzzle gas like there's no tomorrow, but can your *insert whatever car here* carry 30+ people?

Good point. They had a show on the Speed channel for a Muscle Car shootout. Believe it or not, the 1970 SS 454 Chevelle did pretty well on the slalom. And that's with all original factory parts, and even the tires were reproductions of the original rubber that came on the cars back in '70.

Oh, I'd take first and foremost, a 2002 R34 Skyline GTR V-Spec II (reg. or Nur) in Bayside blue. After that I'd take an R32 GTR in gunmetal grey/black. But at this point, I'll take just about any R32 or R34 I can get my hands on for cheap. Heck, I'd even take an R33 even though I'm not fond of them.

I saw that! it was on xmas. If I remeber correctly there were a Hemi Cuda, Chevelle 454, an AMX, GTO, a Boss 429 Mustang a Hurst Olds and a convertible maybe a olds or buick thats all i remember... And that convertible whatever it was did well in the slalom which is highly uncharacteristic of a convertible. Oh and the boss won.

Offtopic did anyone else see that stuff winner posted it's imprinted on my brain. **** :yuck: :grumpy:
